Michael brown paid, full footage shows

So...it is the opinion of the OP that Mike Brown pays for cigars THEN throws around store clerks half his size. SO what you are saying is not that he was dishonest but that he was a violent thug.

MUUUUUUUUUUCH better perspective.

For the record, the story Brown's accomplice is trying to sell the media is beyond ridiculous in this regard as well.

"The cop reached out through the window and tried to choke Michael around the neck."

Yea... We're expected to believe that this pudgy, unassuming guy...

Was stupid enough to attempt something like that on the behemoth we saw in that video?

Give me a ****ing break.

Interesting to note, it wasn't the attendant, store manager or clerk who called the cops, it was a customer who told cops that they thought they witnessed a robbery.

I found that interesting too. Doesn't it make sense that if a "strong arm" robbery had taken place someone who worked for the store and was actually robbed would have called. I am admittedly a little distracted from the new news right now but at this point I don't know if the store owner or clerk has confirmed that any robbery or attempted robbery had taken place. The version of the story I read most recently was that he wanted more cigars than he could afford and had to put some back and that the clerk pushed him first from behind the counter. This version actually makes a little more sense to me and might explain why a customer looking on from the outside might think a robbery was taking place.

Also, why do all the other videos only show MB roughing up this skinny little clerk? What is that supposed to prove? Are we not even supposed to consider the possibility that he was provoked by the clerk?

It's also suspect to me that alot of the same people who justify smacking a woman if she provokes him is giving this guy **** for roughing up this clerk who is half his size.

So why do you think Browns partner admitted to robbing the place if they didn't. In what works does that make sense.
Or is it that your blinders do no allow you to see it.

Brown's accomplice admitted they robbed the store.

The Brown family lawyer admitted they robbed the store.

The store filed a police report saying Brown robbed the store.

There is video showing Brown robbing the store and assaulting the clerk.

All this recent attempt at distorting reality means is that people want to twist reality to fit a narrative.

First of all you don't know me at all so whats makes you think that's something I might do. If you, or anyone for that matter, had actually read my post I never stated that I believe him innocent. I was trying to draw attention to the fact that at the time almost everyone bought into the idea that he had, there was nothing to substantiate it including the video that has circulated. I look at this video and don't think it proves anything other then that there was a conflict.

My commentary was about my personal observations of the video and more importantly, about the bigger picture. Namely, how young unarmed black men continue to get shot dead and those who try to defend the cop(s) before knowing anything consistently find it necessary to demonize those young black men. Why is this necessary?

If he did in fact steal cigars, it has absolutely nothing to do with his being shot and it in no way proves that he is someone who would rush or assault an armed cop. It is out there for no other reason than to serve as justification for many peoples prejudice and the otherwise unfounded assumptions that spring from those prejudices.

So you foist this doctored video upon us that has been carefully edited to paint a false picture and you accuse OTHERS of lying?

sheesh!

Did OD know the video was doctored?

But as for your first question, I think what the video proves is at least one fact: Michael Brown was no "gentle giant." No matter what the provocation, roughing up the much smaller man was unjustified, and it indicates that Brown was willing to use his size to intimidate others.

And there's no correlation between what I've said and my justifying smacking a woman around. ;)

I do seem to recall her viewing the other thread already up where the lie was exposed, but you will have to ask her.

Sometimes I'm not sure which disgusts me more. The people who create these lies or the people who allow themselves to be distracted by them and lose sight of an obvious injustice.

You mean the lie that he actually paid for the cigars?

Does anyone really believe that ALL of these stories of young unarmed black men being shot dead are BS? If so, I see that as a somewhat willing ignorance.

"ALL"? Which ones are we talking about? I can think of only two major news stories about a "young unarmed black man" being shot dead and they were both very recent. And in the first event (Trayvon Martin) it was clear from medical testimony and eyewitnesses that the "young unarmed black man" had the upper hand and was beating Zimmerman. In this instance, I haven't heard enough evidence to know for sure what happened, but I sure as heck ain't gonna jump on this knee-jerk, overly-dramatic, moronic soapbox that OMGZ!!! Racist!!!! Anyone with half a brain isn't one of those people.

How do you think this video is "doctored" exactly.

I was specifically addressing the accusation of theft.

As for what you "read" between the lines about this young mans character based on what you see here. That's you perception not fact and it seems informed by something other than what is actually known.

Neither one of us knows what provoked the confrontation between these two men do we? Maybe the clerk suspected him of something and accused him aggressively? You think just because the clerk is small that means he could not possibly have been the one who started the problem?

It's damn sure a fact that he assaulted the clerk. Assault is a crime.

How does it show he paid for anything? I see no reaching into his pocket for his wallet, money or a card coming out .... I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

So what. What does that have to do with the actual issue?

Because if he was involved in a robbery and assault, that might be why the incident with Officer Wilson went as far as it did.

Right. Although Officer Wilson didn't know that a robbery had been reported, Brown, IF he committed a robbery, might well have thought that the cop did know and was going to apprehend him.

If he paid, why does the clerk basically chase Brown out of the door, and try to prevent him from leaving as was seen in the other video (1:20)?

Why does Brown shove the clerk out of the way and visibly rear up to intimidate him into submission?

He was involved in a borderline assault, if nothing else. It seems pretty clear that some wrongdoing on Brown's part provoked that situation.

Given the fact that he was willing to threaten and do physical violence to a store clerk half his size, I frankly don't doubt that he'd be willing and able to display similarly aggressive behavior towards a police officer either.

I do not believe the one act leads to any conclusions about the other. However, the video does disprove claims that Brown was a "gentle giant."

Because assault is a crime and Brown's actions illustrate his criminal frame of mind.

I look at the injuries to the cop and the pattern of the shots to Brown's body more so than trying to ascertain the perp's "state of mind. "All the shots are far to the right and somewhat scattered, totally opposite of what one would expect if he was surrendering and the cop blasted him in cold blood.

You bring up a point which was settled in the Zimmerman case, which is once again being claimed in this case. You do not need to be packing a high power handgun to be considered capable of deadly force. Anybody capable of deadlifting a store clerk would considered capable. And Mr. Brown certainly was.

I do not see the robbery as an issue in whether or not the shooting was justified. Only whether or not the officer thought he was in danger of bodily harm. Brown was capable. The question is: Were Browns actions sufficient to make the officer believe he was in danger?

How do you think this video is "doctored" exactly.

How many times are you going to need to have the same thing explained to you, anyway? Sheesh!

The part in this supposedly "full" video removed the part that showed the 300 pound bully assaulting the clerk half his size.

Do your eyes simply not work at all?
