Ferguson Hired Officer With History Of Allegedly Hitting Children

He resigned from St. Louis city police under a cloud of suspicion. Missouri tried to make sure he couldn't walk the beat. But one officer with a history of allegations of hitting children found a willing employer in the Ferguson Police Department.

After a verbal altercation turned physical, Boyd tackled the brother to the ground. When Jerica came to his aid, Boyd struck her in the head with his gun.
Boyd later claimed that he had pistol-whipped the girl "accidentally." Internal affairs disagreed, recommending that Boyd be dropped from the department's rolls.

So which is it - he "allegedly" hit children or he did hit children?

And before you beat on Ferguson for hiring this officer, are you certain that these allegations were known to them before they hired the man. There are privacy laws in place in most jurisdictions.

And if the allegations are true, let's give a special shout-out to the St. Louis Police Department who apparently didn't arrest or charge the officer with child abuse, assault, whatever, and simply let the man go to find another job in another police department.

Kidding aside, this isn't the cop who shot the kid, right? So, are you trying to pin guilt by association onto the Ferguson PD, by making the assumption that since one of their cops is a bad cop, all of their cops should be suspect?

Yes, that's the purpose. Dig up as much dirt on the Police there find fault, publish it, hope something sticks to further incite distrust, all in the name of "the people have a right to know". Notice how they didn't do any digging on Brown and publish it? I'm not surprised either.

And if people don't read too closely or pay too much attention and they think it is the same cop, so much the better.

Well, people on here have been whining their brains out that there are only 3 blacks on the Ferguson PD. And this guy happens to be one of the 3 blacks on the force. Are any of you people ever satisfied?

By the way, "allegedly" doesn't mean ****, you do know that, right? He wasn't convicted of squat.

If Boyd was fired from SLPD that has merit. It may not have any meaning to you, but to those of us that are looking to remove unprofessionally acting law enforcement officers from our streets...is a big what.

No, I think this falls under the heading "bash the police with anything at hand". It certainly has nothing whatsoever to do with Michael Brown's shooting.

It has been reported that 12 witnesses corroborate the story that Brown charged at the policeman. In addition, the policeman got a skull fracture from his altercation with Brown, otherwise known as "the youth" or "the boy" who can give a grown man a skull fracture by hitting him with his fist! Based on that I have a prediction: the policeman won't be indicted.

I was quite clear in my statement. I don't bash the police. I understand their function in society, but not ever person is cut out for the job.

That is no secret.

You do understand that Boyd is not the officer involved in the Brown shooting? ...and by the way, no witness has taken the witness stand in a court of law...so whatever you believe is hearsay.
