ISIL Beheads American Photojournalist in Iraq

A video posted by ISIL terrorists in Iraq purports to the show the beheading of an American photojournalist who has been missing since 2012. The group claims the beheading is a message to President Obama to end the American intervention in Iraq.

James Foley is a photojournalist who has worked for several news organizations. According to a website set up in his honor, he went missing while covering the conflict in Syria in 2012.
ISIL has also indicated that their next victim will be Steven Joel Sotloff, a journalist who worked for TIME, The National Interest and Media Line, unless the U.S. stops its attacks on them.

I think the Terrorists need to be forced to face their worse fears.....its a shame we cant march out 100 of them and Publically show the Terrorists for every one American they kill.....we will kill a hundred of them. In the worse way.....and let them see what we do to the corpses so they know they can't even believe in their religion. That no matter how or what they believe. They wont be making the journey they dreamed of.
 
They've been beheading "infidels" (and crucifying them too) all along but it takes the death of a journalist to warrant outrage?

As you know, I've had a "wait and see how it plays out" attitude.

I've seen enough. As I stated in another thread ... They should now be issued one warning only i.e all non combatants vacate the area ...ISIL .. Cease, desist, withdraw, and disband OR DIE; and buried in desecrated graves.

Europe needs to "pony up".

It is time for extreme measures before they move through the entire area and into Europe. It will be a long and considerable undertaking. There is no moral high ground in war .. let Allah sort it out.

Sadly, I have no faith in the leadership of this country or any leadership of Europe.

No actually its not. A message needs to be sent Personally wouldn't bother burying them, just stack em like cordwood and let the crows and dogs and everything else that's hungry have at them. Taking the hides of a couple of their leaders and tuning them into boots would also send a message as well, a particularly nasty and pointedly cultural one too.

Outside bickering aside, this is absolutely horrible. However, these terrorists are idiots if they think this will somehow discourage us from interfering in their crimes against humanity. The more Americans they kill, the greater the unity here will be.

But this lets you know exactly what type of people you are dealing with. Everyone should have known this already. Not every culture or group in this world abides by American or western standards. ISIL has a goal and they are willing to do anything to achieve that goal. Playing nice and abiding by international rules or standards when it comes to the conduct of war isn't something they will do if those rules and standards are deemed by them to stand in the way of their goal.

I was out of the house all day today, so I need to ask: They didn't show a video of the beheading, did they? I haven't forgotten the horror of the one years ago, and I don't want to see another cruel act by animals posing as humans!
