Brown paid for cigars - Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame [WL:168]

Re: Brown paid for cigars - Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame Shooting Vict

No he did not.

No witness has said Brown was lying down

Yes he did. I remember when the story first came out his friend said he was laying down. Then after that it all changed to "he put his hands up".

No he never did neither did any other witness. They have varied from Brown being shot in the back while running to Brown being shot while kneeling or standing with his hands in the air.

Not one of them reported he was laying prone.

You made up this fictitious claim because you tried to postulate that he had to be lying down for the bullet wound to enter as they did.

The problem is it is a fictitious claim and no one reported he was lying down.

Brown was laying face down on the street when the last and fatal shot was fired into the top of his head.
How else can a bullet enter the top of a 6'5" man's head and lodge in the front of his brain?
That last shot made it murder.

That isn't even what Bader said. You are making assumptions not even supported by the experts hired by the Brown family and stating them as unassailable fact.

It is very sad to see everybody ignore evidence that doesn't support the story that they want to believe.

a blogger sucking at FMV interpretation is not evidence.

Re: Brown paid for cigars - Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame [WL:168]

It does show him at the counter. It is true that you can't tell if he paid or not. However, you don't know that he didn't.

The lawyer who stated that the store did not report a robbery was the store's lawyer.

In all honesty, it doesn't matter if he paid or not when it comes to what happened later. That would have been figured out by the police/DA later. It was not wrong to detain or even arrest Brown when the notice came out to the Ferguson police that they had a report of a robbery and the description of the suspect matched Brown and his friend. This means probable cause to stop, detain, and even take them in for questioning in this reported robbery. If more information came out that said that it wasn't a robbery, but merely an assault, that Brown and his friend paid for the items but then assaulted the clerk for trying to stop them for whatever reason, that still would not mean the cops, specifically the cop that stopped Brown did anything wrong just by stopping them and trying to take them in.

I'd like to hear the 911 call that the customer made. Just would be interesting to hear how it was described.

I'm biased in my assumptions - I'll admit that up front - but I have to say I still find it remarkable that in the middle of the afternoon, on a clear day, on a weekend day, in the middle of a residential street with apartment buildings, there is no one with a cellphone or smartphone video of the entire incident. Clearly there were people with such devices near by since we have seen video of Mr. Brown lying in the street, dead. Those aren't news or police video - those are neighbour's videos. My only conclusion, rightly or wrongly, is that video does exist but it doesn't serve the story of Mr. Brown being an innocent victim and a gentle giant.

It would seem more likely that these videos (assuming they exist), were not released. If someone put it out there, someone would find it. In fact, I'd be shocked if breitbart.com didn't have an army spending night and day combing youtube and vine for just that video. And if they did find it, they wouldn't crow about it if it didn't back up their version of events.

Actually it was from Baden. Shot at the top of the head. How tall was this officer?

Re: Brown paid for cigars - Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame Shooting Vict

:doh
Then by all means, point out these holes. I assure you, you have none. Which most likely means you do not know of all the known evidence.

So start pointing them out.

Let me give you an indication of what a hole might look like.
10_n.jpg
Chief Jackson first said that officer Wilson left a "sick call" to respond to the robbery where he confronted Brown because he fitted the description. Then he later come out and said that officer Wilson had no knowledge of the robbery when he confronted Brown. He stop him because he was bloacking traffic.

These are not my words but his.

I think you are not interested in knowing the truth because you wouldn't even question these two conflicting stories. But yet you demonize the two conflicting accounts from Brown's friend. You just want to justify the shooting because obviously if a white cop killed a black teenager then there is nothing to question because all cops are good.
That is what I thought. There are no holes there, as someone else has already pointed that out.

Re: Brown paid for cigars - Ferguson Police Busted – Attempt To Defame Shooting Vict

Has anybody considered that his friend wasn't lying at all. That they did rob the store, and that he was surrendering? It's not out of the question, I don't think.
Yes, it has been considered and dismissed.
Not just because the story sounds fabricated,
Not just because the person telling it has already lied,
And not because of the fact that Police Officers don't usually go around executing people,

But because a credible eyewitness account clearly states that Brown was running towards the officer as the Officer was firing on him.
Learn the evidence.

No it wasn't. This is how Baden characterized that wound:

“This one here looks like his head was bent downward,” he said, indicating the wound at the very top of Mr. Brown’s head. “It can be because he’s giving up, or because he’s charging forward at the officer.”

Baden didn't say the the wound was consistent with lying on the ground face down as Buck Ewer claims.

Maybe not the laying face down part, but the wound in the top of the head was there for sure.

I am not arguing that he didn't have a wound on the top of his head. I am arguing that Buck Ewer is making assumptions about the wound that Baden never stated and stating them as fact.

Gee, odd how this BS story has not appeared on the news.

Good morning, CJ. :2wave:

Excellent thought-provoking post, CJ! Many people are wondering why AG Holder saw fit to personally travel to Ferguson, since dozens of blacks are being shot and murdered every day in Chicago, and he hasn't intervened there. Was he intending to put on riot gear and help get things under control, or is he there to plan strategy because things aren't working out like they thought it would? The truth will eventually be known, of course, but cowardly looting and destroying a city by burning buildings down sure makes an erroneous statement to the world that America is not too much different than a backward third world hellhole, and that is not true, because the very poorest among us are considered wealthy by many people around the world.

5000 years of history has shown us that any civilization that sets up a government that promises a free lunch to the lazy will be a government that will go down the tube. Still, every time a person or group who shows up making those promises will attract the free lunch crowd who will run for that bandwagon. Human nature? Perhaps for some, but not the majority who have self respect. With our debt level approaching $20 trillion dollars, we are in as bad a mess as we haven't seen since 1929, IMO, and we know how that turned out!

That's also a fair interpretation. I think we'd agree that there must be videos out there that haven't been released, for whatever reason.

I assume the officer has an automatic weapon. If so, is it not feasible that several shots were fired in a matter of seconds and the head wound you refer to may have been the last wound as Brown is falling forward onto the ground - not surrendering or giving up, but collapsing forward in death?

Those like BE who claim this was a broad daylight, multiple witness gangland style execution of Brown are those who have a built in anti-police bias that clouds any semblance of balance and/or common sense they may possess.

Police side arms primarily are semi-automatic only unless a revolver was used. One shot per squeeze of the trigger. I don't believe SWAT or tactical teams even use automatic weapons domestically - auto are military only.

Good morning Lady P - did you get the hot, humid weather I promised you??

As for Holder, there's no political gains to be made by publicizing the terrible black on black murder and crime taking place in Chicago, as an example. You can't race bait and drum up racial divisions when the two sides in the war are both black.

Thanks for that clarification.

Does your additional information make it impossible or still plausible for my conjecture to be reasonable and perhaps true?
