Ferguson Protesters Guard Stores From Looters

Now this is what this situation needs, and I'm serious! For too long, people have been defending the actions of these thugs that are breaking in and looting stores. All they do is hurt the cause, and make all protesters look bad. To quote one black man:

What's most despicable is that you don't see any of the black leaders coming out and saying this kind of stuff (obviously Obama shouldn't use the n word but you get what I mean). Instead, all they do is make excuses. But you know what, this isn't about them, this is about people that know the difference from right and wrong, and know that just because you been slighted, don't gives you the right to act out like a two year old.

Good on them!

Good! I hope it's for real. For far too long, people have been afraid to step away from the herd, and take a stand for what is right. No matter what wrongs happen to you in life, it doesn't make other wrong behavior okay, and the best way to be taken seriously, is by using intelligence and reason to accomplish justice.

The president spoke after four nights of protests in Ferguson, Missouri, over the death of Michael Brown, 18. Police on Wednesday fired tear gas against protesters and arrested 16 people, including two reporters. Police said that rocks and a Molotov cocktail were thrown at officers.

“There is never an excuse for violence against police, or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting,” he said.

You forgot to show the second part.

Obama said:
"“There’s also no excuse for police to use excessive force against peaceful protesters, or to throw protesters in jail for lawfully exercising their First Amendment rights.”"

To my knowledge, there has been no "excessive force against peaceful protesters" but instead against the looters. I've seen several protests by now and they've all been peaceful. Looting is not a first amendment right...

Many eyewitness accounts contradict this sentiment, but I digress. You claimed that the President has excused the behaviors of those who would attack the police and loot, when he has explicitly stated otherwise

Obama should get some leadership advice from that highway patrol cop.

And his grandmother was a "typical white woman".

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.

I was wondering where the president was on all this considering he is 50% black.

SIDENOTE = Obama's mother is about as white as a cloud

Now, we're acting like responsible citizens. Good for them!

What he did, was place the police on equal moral footing as the looters.

That is what we need, people who think, people who distance themselves from self serving thugs.

It's about time, that is unless they're charging the businesses for their "services".

The timing of Obama's statement seems odd to me.

He did not make a statement after 3 days of riots there, but after the police allegedly treated the protesters with excessive force.

It seems he said the first part of his statement so he was able to get the second part in.

Barbarians at the Gate. Where Are the Gatekeepers?

The uncivilized display of sympathy for a justifiably dead wannabe cop-killer was enabled by the so-called peaceful protesters' confidence that the ignorant and illogical media would misinterpret the protests as honorable civil disobedience. The real instigators behind the scenes of what is presented by the media in these spectacles have let our cities disintegrate into primitive tribal anarchy. The puppetmasters live in safe gated communities that are never attacked by the "poor," thereby proving that the underclass are agents of the upper class.

Our self-appointed leaders turned criminal elements loose on the majority. The silenced middle, the only true victims here of both Wall Street criminals and terroristic street gangs, must take their country back by taking down the traitors at the top. Traditional Americans must seize the plutocrats' government before we can effectively deal with this coddled and glorified underclass, who are the enemies of civilization.

It Will Take Only 1% of Us to Depose the 1%, So Your Support of Them Can Be Ignored. We Don't Need Much Help to Eliminate the Soft and Stupid 1%

It's a game plan. With your simple-minded answer and denial that those in power have any power to manipulate our political thoughts, you could call anyone who claimed that the Seahawks had a pre-game strategy to defeat the Broncos "a tinfoil wacko."

Now, we're acting like responsible citizens. Good for them!

And this is why people should not judge people by the way they look. If this picture was posted without any comments or links, many on the right would be labeling these guys as thugs.

I judge people by their actions, not their looks. But, you can bet that if that was a picture of white folks, with a confederate flag, the Libbos wouldnt wanna hear it.

Power to manipulate our political thoughts is not the same as an evil Wall Street (Jewish) cabal directing dumb poor (black) rioters to destroy the "silenced middle" (white people).

Of course the protestors had to have been manipulated! It's not as if they could be legitimately upset over the police's coverup of their own brutality, right?

Actually, there was a reverend at a church in Missouri, a leading one at that, who made a very impassioned speech about the need to refrain from violence and follow in the footsteps of MLK not looting and destruction.

The people looting are idiots and make up a small minority of the population. These guys are awesome for doing this.
