Border Patrol Agent Draws Gun On Boy Scout

Well, unless you have a better explanation for why he'd pull a gun...

Boy scout did something stupid that startled an armed Federal agent.

Yes, fifteen feet away there were probably illegal Mexicans crossing the border, and that agent chose to harass a Boy Scout troop instead. Sounds plausible.

Why would illegal Mexicans go all the way to Canada to cross the border into Alaska?

Unless they release the tapes we will never agree on what happened, and probably not even after the tapes are released if I really think about it.

The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol released a statement to KCCI on last week on the incident:

"CBP's review of this group's inspection, including video footage review, indicates that our officer did not un-holster or handle his weapon as stated in the allegation. The review revealed nothing out of the ordinary. We have reached out to the Boy Scout troop for additional information in reference to the allegation. The video footage has been referred to CBP Internal Affairs for further review."

Huh, almost like the guy I was responding to put absolutely no thought into his post, and didn't even read the article in question.

Having crossed the Canadian border many times myself, this story is totally believable. Border guards are a collective set of flaming sphincters. Total power tripping dicks.

I had one get really huffy with me because I had trouble understanding him. He had such a heavy accent I had had trouble figuring out what he was saying. The wife had to translate for me. I normally don't have any trouble whatsoever understanding Canadians but this guy I did. It wasn't a French Canadian accent either.

I am surprised that GOPers are not handing this guy a medal and begging Obama to transfer him to the Southern border. He should be great at helping curb all these unaccompanied minors coming from Mexico.

Unlike you, we believe in law and order, which this was not.

One of his buddies was probably conducting a cavity search on someone's grandmother.

Time to dismantle the FED's. Return to state sovereignty and ween FED's out of our society. We dont need to be creating factions of people who have greater rights than others, especially when it has gotten to this level. The one who pointed the gun at the kid needs to be in jail for endangering the life of a child with a weapon.

Fox said one of the Scouts took a picture of a border official, which spurred agents to detain everyone in that van and search them and their belongings.

“The agent immediately confiscated his camera, informed him he would be arrested, fined possibly $10,000 and 10 years in prison,” Fox said.

"That kid took a picture of me! Call in the SWAT Team!! This is a Red Alert!!"

Nazis.

Oh and look, the story is likely not completely true, especially not as reported. Perhaps the boys were making it up, or maybe it was the Scout Leader, either way there is no evidence that there was ever a gun pointed by any border patrol agents at any of these scouts, and there is videotape to account for all but 13 seconds of the interactions of the agents with the boys. That 13 seconds has no evidence of a gun being drawn either. None of the adults with the scouts saw a gun. The only "evidence" of a gun being drawn is a claim by one of the leaders that two boys reported to him that they had a gun drawn on them, yet the leader also refuses to identify those boys who claimed to have a gun drawn on them, even to be interviewed for their side.

And on top of this lack of evidence of a gun being drawn, the scout leader also lied about how long they were detained. Video proves that they were detained no more than 50 minutes (I think it was less) at the border, eventhough the scout leader claimed it was 4 hours.

Oh, and it wasn't the photo of the agent itself that sparked the search. It was another photo on the camera of the scout holding a marijuana bud/plant that prompted the search. And apparently one of the other scout masters does not believe that a gun was really drawn on any of the scouts either.
