Now, was this "lady" calling for murder? I do not believe so - it seems to me that she is an asshole making an asshole comment. But her comments may land her a visit from some folks to make an official determination. And it will be no ones fault but her own.

Perhaps your mind is capable of rationalizing with the minds of the insane - mine isn't. My comment in no way encourages people to threaten President Obama - in fact, it suggests the exact opposite. But you being a blind partisan hack, you misread any comment as threatening.

We're talking about a person twittering a statement about a President. You're bringing up first, a lie (Palin did not call for an assassination of Giffords), and that lie has nothing to do with the OP (or anything else for that matter) as we're talking about this specific occurrence of a twitter comment. Staying on topic is appreciated.

as a 3L I had lunch with a guest lecturer at our law school, one DA Vincent Bugliosi who prosecuted Manson. He said that there was a rumor that RP put out an open contract on Manson and lots of people believed it was true. I asked him if it was, and he said he didn't know but lots of people thought so

You are the one off-topic. This thread is about a Obama, not Bush.

The Secret Service should arrest this woman and question her at length. If she is found to be a threat in their eyes, she should be tried in a court of law. If she were only kidding, she could present that in her defense.
