Hillary Clinton Says Putin ‘Can Be Dangerous’ And ‘Always Goes To The Limits’

Obviously, no one care what she says and that is proved out in her lack of book sales.

The article states:

“A man like Putin always goes to the limits. He always tries to find out how strong the others are” and then re-positions himself accordingly, she told Bild am Sonntag.

Putin has long been a practitioner of Realpolitik. The convergence of interests (how he defines Russia's interests e.g., Crimea was seen as a strategic interest) and the balance of power has a large impact on his policy choices. This is something that was lost in the void of "New Era" American thinking that notions such as the balance of power are obsolete 19th century approaches. Putin, of course, is not the only practitioner of Realpolitik.

Perhaps. However, with the possibility that she could be a Presidential candidate--and opinion polls suggest that she could be a formidable one--the public should at least pay attention to what she and her possible Democratic opponent(s) and later Republican opponent have to say about policy (domestic or foreign) if it is to make an informed choice.

When dealing with Putin, I think it's important to remember this: Our American ideal of a leader is George Washington. In Russia, it's more like Ivan the Terrible. Some of Putin's actions are reminiscent of Ivan - Ivan liked to strip the property from boyars who didn't toe the line, Putin sends oligarchs who dare defy him into exile. Ivan and Putin both had (or have) territorial ambitions.

Putin's foreign policy record in the last few years out performs Hillary's!
