Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide[W:51]

Re: Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide

Hahah! You've devolved to a 3rd Grader defense. Nice.

You also don't understand what ad hominem fallacy is.

*sigh* Capping your unfortunate thread by telling me what you think I think is just perfect. Level Complete.

Oh, I do. You're just so wrapped up in it you can't admit that you're using it.

Re: Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide

Not killed himself, gone to the hearing and state his case and if guilty, accept the sentence.

Personal responsibility, isn't that something that the Tea Party is always telling people to do?

seems like he took personal responsibility after all......

And left a widow, and left his kids without a dad.

No, he took the coward's way out, not personal responsibility.

he chose to abort his life... he took responsibility

No, I haven't been having any trouble getting to sleep. How about you?

So your contention is that I went out searching for this article so I could celebrate this guy's death? Wow...everything's got to be some kind of conspiracy.

Celebrate ? That's a bit harsh.

Used his suicide to make some kind of political point ? Yes

What point would that be? I know what my point was, I want to know what you think it was.

Geezus I couldn't agree more. He took the ultimate responsibility for his actions.

Really? Looks to me like the ultimate bail-out.
Taking responsibility would be admitting how wrong he was, sincerely apologizing and doing whatever he can to minimize whatever damage he caused. Imagine yourself married to him and ask if he took any responsibility.

Re: Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide

That's how politics have been for the past 250+ years. Low and dirty.

I get that a political operative does sleazy things. Check. And frankly, sneaking in and targeting a nursing home patient is pretty flipping low - even for an operative.

But the man has a wife confined to a nursing home. There is no scandal. I think the pictures are less of a comment on the sleazy political operative than the target audience who changed their minds based on such pictures.

He saved the taxpayers a lot of money. What he did to his wife? None of my business.

Re: Mississippi Tea Party leader dead in apparent suicide

His lawyer probably advised him to accept the plea bargain for 11 months to two.

From his mug shot he doesn't look like he would do well in lock up. It scared him to death.

It's a done deal now. May he forever rest in peace.
