Immigrant Children Raped, Punched, Kicked in Border Patrol Custody: Complaint

I agree. Further more the US should bill the country of origin for the shipping back, care while in the US, and labor costs of the illegal alien detentions

What is also concerning is any of the females who are 9 months pregnant who may give birth while in custody in the US.

That's a great idea. :)

Do you have a link?

I don't doubt that some BP , LE, politicians, business people have a working association with the cartels.
However, your request for a link is appropriate. I dislike when poster has questions like "Has it occurred to you that many BP agents work for the cartels?" and provide nothing to back it up.

It would be like someone saying, has it occurred to sollectica that the many of kids parents work for the cartels. The parents sent their kids to tie up the BP to make it easier to get drugs accross. (and then not provide any supporting documention of to back up the statement.

It is just a way to distract from the issue of illegal entry into the US.

Right. It's pretty much impossible to weed out ALL corruption, but I would think that most agents are probably just doing their jobs and are not involved in corruption.

I agree. imo, the majority of BP and LE people are honest people.

Even if she does, who cares? Unless these BP agents are shipping their minor children unattended for the US to take care of, BP has nothing to do with the sudden inflow of unwanted border invaders.

That's true, but I wouldn't say "who cares."

It's funny how others complain about the US playing "daddy" to the world, yet that is exactly what they expect from us when in certain situations. We are NOT the daddy of Mexico's or Guatemala's babies. Those children should be sent back from where they came. We should have ZERO tolerance for illegal immigration.

An adult who jumps the border is here looking for work. When he finds work he will, in various ways, be contributing to the system even though he entered the country without papers. I really have to wonder what those who are throwing the 'R' word around think these children are going to contribute to this system other than problems, which they have already succeeded in doing.

There are allegations of rape. I'm surprised that you don't see how this reflects negatively on the administration. Normally you're the first one to jump on the "Blame Obama" bandwagon regardless of evidence.

The point is that deporting them within the law is all fine and good. Rape is not. I'm not surprised that the point sailed right over your head.

There are allegations of rape somewhere in this country every day and every night. If one of them alleges rape, then they should be taken immediately to a hospital for a rape kit. And while they are all together, then all the older boys should be DNA tested. DNA testing is NOT a violation of rights as it is not 'testimony.' A person suspected of a crime CAN be compelled to give DNA.

Sure, that's all part of the investigation process. But to say, "Well, they're illegal and should be deported, therefore who cares...." Sorry, don't buy that.

It's ultimately their parents fault. WTF are the parents?!! Sorry excuses for parents who should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law in whatever country they hail from if THEY are also illegal.

Where did I say that? Don't ****ing put words in my mouth!

You didn't say that, but it has been said in the thread. I don't disagree with you about having to investigate the claims.

Then stop answering my posts as if I said something I didn't. Everyone is so concerned about due process for these 'children' but no one seems to have a worry in the world about due process for the people they are accusing of vile acts. This has all been orchestrated from above, and if I worked for border patrol, I would walk out immediately, government pension be damned~! Some innocent worker is going to spend his/her life in prison over this. What's going on in those holding facilities is simply not worth it for the American citizens who have to deal with it. Every last one of them should walk out.

And STILL nobody wants to address the parents' roles in all of this. How long have these children been in custody? Have their parents been located? If so, why haven't those families been sent back? Are they even TRYING to locate the parents of these children? When they do locate them, are they going to be brought up on charges of abandonment or whatever? Because they should. I can promise you that MY child would not be crossing any borders, and I would certainly not leave my child in that hell hole of a country while I was here in America living large either.

I think they are trying to locate relatives in the US, not the parents in foreign countries. There is no jurisdiction over parents in foreign countries, and really none over relatives here if they refuse to take them. They will be placed in foster care, which will overload yet another already taxed American agency. Not everyone values their children the same as we do here. Life is cheap in many places of the world.

Yes, it is.

I wonder how many of the minors who've appeared here en masse brought identification with them. Does anybody know about this?

Well that's too bad because someone should have to be held responsible for these children. Hopefully they locate their families in their own countries so they can be sent back. Like you say, we don't have the resources to take in all the world's needy people, and it's time people started to realize that.

Probably few if any.

Now wouldn't that be a stupid thing for the parents to do, send ID with them. The children of 6 or 7 years of age should be able to tell authorities who their US relatives are. Whether they will remains to be seen.

Yet another problem for the agencies that are having to process them. This is just a nightmare.

Every last one of them will have to have an immigration hearing. They may be looking for the parents, but I haven't heard it if they are. Even if they found them, the US would have no jurisdiction over them.

Too bad we can't just bring them to the government of their respective countries and let them sort it out.

Well they are in America now, and they have the right to due process of law. Our domestic courts have no jurisdiction over anyone in another country. The banana republics of the world have become very adept at finding the chink in our constitutional armor.

We have to start really shoring up our borders to prevent these things from happening to begin with. I have to wonder why a lot of the democrats refuse to acknowledge this problem and, in fact, actually encourage it at times. I have to think it's for votes because there really is no other benefit to illegal immigration to America (even though the smarmy partisans will lie and say that there is).

Too bad the Feds didn't protect the border the way they do employees of the IRS.
