Immigrant Children Raped, Punched, Kicked in Border Patrol Custody: Complaint

Do you not see this as a ploy? Meeeeeeeeeen ole officer abuses adolescent. Uncle Sam pays damages to illegal immigrant for abuse which likely didn't even occur. Border patrol officers tend to think of them as being filthy little beasts. I, personally, don't believe they want to have sex with them. But if enough of them can get together and make people believe they did then they will ride the gravy train in this country the rest of their lives. Every single one one who claims to be raped needs to be hauled to the nearest hospital for a rape kit.

I agree, they need to do a rape kit and see if there is any validity to the claims. DNA is a wonderful thing.

I don't know what happened either way (obviously). But false accusations aren't new, especially coming from people who have something to gain.

Investigate and then share the results. If there is no meat here, then deal with these kids as we would any illegal immigrant. Send them back to where they came from.

Yup, and I think that's what Votemout was saying in his posts in the first few pages.

If they never came here illegally in the first place, this discussion wouldn't be happening. So let's figure out a way to fix the root cause instead of just assuming the patrol agents are a bunch of horny yahoos.

Three-fourths, according to USA Today, are from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. From a few of the comments I've read on this thread, I've concluded that understanding of these very different countries is a little sketchy.

Unfortunately for this country, this is the new democrat campaign strategy. They have bailed on the black community and why bother? They know that no matter how bad things get for them 97% of them will vote for the black guy. When there isnt a black guy on the ticket (and I suspect that no matter what, there will be) they can still count on the blind majority support, without ever doing anything for them. But create a massive voter issue with the illegal immigrants and then make them citizens? Hellz...thats creating generations of voter support. That it will create a massive drain on our economic structure and reduce and in some cases eliminate available services for those now dependent on them? Well...thats the price you pay for blindly supporting stupidity.

I don't believe this is about votes. I believe it is far more sinister than that. After all, many of these will not be voters for many years even if given amnesty.

A 'legitimate refugee' is one who is being persecuted in their own country. What is going on in Central America that these 'children' are being persecuted. It would seem to me that their parents would be the ones persecuted and that if that were they case, they would then apply for asylum in the US and bring the entire family.

Apparently, these invaders are so persecuted, they managed to scrape up enough money to travel all the way to the border, healthy as can be. Certainly appears they escaped by the hair of their teeth.

This invasion should send chills down the spine of every citizen in this country.

Of course it should be investigated, even though it will be costly as hell for the taxpayers. Then, their parents should be tracked down and charged for, at the very least, abandonment, and all should be deported back to their home countries. If they want to enter this country, do it the legal way.

While I believe for a lot of reasons that the USA should exercise strict control over all of its borders what sends chills down my spine is the xenophobic attitude of some people on the far right in the USA

I'm not going to name any names, but I will say that some of those people cross over the line into racism and bigotry.

I would suggest there is nothing racist or bigoted about wanting to repel the invasion of failures from failed countries. Color, or any other factor people want to invent, has nothing to do with it.

This is an invasion encouraged by a particular Political Party. It's chilling, and orchestrated. The possible reason for this attack on the sovereignty of this Nation should alarm every citizen of the US.

I'm not insinuating anything, I'm flat out saying that a small minority of the people who are opposed to various types of immigration are racists and bigots.

Let the chips fall where they may, I don't bite my tongue.

If what I say upsets someone, maybe they have a problem.

Then you are wrong. There are certainly MANY valid reasons to oppose illegal immigration. Health issues and monetary issues being just a couple. The very idea that people who oppose it are bigots is actually quite ignorant IMO.

It's a sad fact that the USA still has a few racists and bigots.

Some of them post comments all over the internet, including on this forum.
