Immigrant Children Raped, Punched, Kicked in Border Patrol Custody: Complaint

What would the BP agents be lying about? and why would it mean their careers?

If they were involved, or turned a blind eye to abuse and rape, they wouldn't want to get in trouble over it, so that's what they could be lying about. As far as their careers, this has hit national news. If it's found out that they did actually know about it, or were involved in it, of course their careers would be on the line.

Do you think there are really that many animals working in the Border Patrol?

I have no idea how many animals work in Border Patrol. Hopefully not that many. Unfortunately, it doesn't take many to make an entire group of people look bad. Only 7 soldiers were actually charged in Abu Ghraib, but for the longest time, when you heard "military police," all you thought about was torture and abuse.

I say we weed out the dirtbags and gang-bangers among the immigrants--not detainees--a cart their butts back to where they came from.

We have enough garbage in this country, as it is, we don't need to import more.

That much, I agree with. I think we should keep the hardworking immigrants, and put them on a path to legal citizenship. The ones who won't work, who are drains on our system, or who have been found guilty of serious crimes, should all be deported. That would make the 12 million number much more manageable, and wouldnt' penalize the people who are actually working and are productive members of society.

I don't believe realistically that we can logistically deport all illegals or afford it. But we can arrange for the ones that are here and aren't criminals to stay in a semi legal status. But before I'd pass a Bill like that I'd lock the borders down, and it can be done. We simply can't afford to allow our nation to fill up with another countries people and diminish the opportunities for our own citizens.

Hard working people might not vote Democrat, so turning the dirtbags away might be counter-productive.

Obvoiusly, you must believe there are a lot, because you think they'll all lie to cover up these alledged abuses.

Whatever. You didn't pay attention to the post at all, did you? I clearly said that it wouldn't many to make an entire group look bad.

Except they are not "hardworking immigrants" nor are they "productive members of society". They are illegal aliens. Let's save the spots for real hardworking immigrants and send the rest packing. And yes, penalize them.

I get that if BP are abusing children, obviously it needs to stop. So far, most of the complaints seem to be coming from the kids and a few illegal child advocacy groups. Many are the same people that were complaining last week that the burritos were not all that good.

The simple answer is a quick hearing and immediate deportation. That and quickly sealing the avenues into the country. Already we are spending millions, and the government is asking for billions. None of which is earmarked to stop this mess.

Again, I want to know how, who, and why now.

When are all the "Sanctuary Cities" going to step up and take all these poor people into their cities and their homes. Let's see all these "Sanctuary City" citizens put THEIR money where THEIR mouth is and come to the rescue. Come on and step up, open your wallets and your hearts to these criminals.

If the detainees are being fed food that they don't like, that's one thing. Abuse is another. No matter how overworked BP agents are, they are not allowed to treat people that way. Physical abuse, rape, humiliation? That has nothing to do with being overworked.

No, but the inability to protect them from others inmates, including other children, does. 1 BP agent can probably control a rom of 5-10 people. 1 BP agent is probably unable to stop violence from happening in a room of 500 people.

Deport them.

I've got a question? I have not seen anyone suggest that we call the National Guard to help out? Why are we not calling in the military to protect our borders?

Tim-

Who's the president?

Did Bush secure the border? Should he also be investigated?

He's not the chief executive. Blaming Bush won't fit in this instance.

But you know "its Bush's fault" was going to show up sooner or later when liberals can't force themselves to say "blame Obama."

Wait for it, wait for it...

you really believe they have time to rape children with the border being overwhelmed? Come on think about it.

There is always time for rape and abuse. These children should be considered as refugees, not illegal immigrants..

Should have stayed home instead of illegally crossing a foreign border, I seriously doubt the rape charges. I seriously doubt most of these charges!
I say let the deportations begin!!!!

I don't doubt any of it one bit - look at the sheer number of teens and kids - some adults - miserable conditions, not enough breathing room, exhaustion, anger and tempers flaring. No, I don't doubt it.

Who's at fault?

The parents who convinced their selves that their kids would be better off in the US and shuffled them across the border. Some sort of US mythopia

I think its lies put forth by those that have no regard for the rule of law of another country. If true then you can place blame squarely on the obama regime for creating this unnatural disaster.

let the deportations begin should already be happening.

Obama should be blamed for the strife in these South American countries?.. Do you want to send all the Cubans back to Cuba as well?

If they are refugees then why didn't their parents flee as well. Sorry, but that doesn't quite fit.

Try Dream Act.
