Immigrant Children Raped, Punched, Kicked in Border Patrol Custody: Complaint

That would be a noble effort on his part but the problem is I never make a fool of myself so it's a futile exercise on his behalf.

Cheers.

Right, whatever you say.

He's not the chief executive. Blaming Bush won't fit in this instance.

Are you so ignorant or stupid that you are unable to answer a simple question?

So until these people are deported you think it is alright for them to be mistreated?

Whatever - yes, no, maybe. This is simply an excuse, another tactic to give amnesty. No matter, kids will keep getting abused as long as we continue to play this silly game. Deport them, deport their parents when we find them, any family members, and refuse them visas from this day on. Seize their assets and use that to defray deportation costs.

Are you so ignorant or stupid that you are unable to answer a simple question?

You have my answer. Though I could have also justifiably posted, "who the **** cares, the question was idiotic."

Whatever - yes, no, maybe.

Thank you for such a decisive answer. Perhaps if it were one of your children you would be able to pin down an answer.

As long as they are all deported, choose any answer that satisfies you. I wouldn't have been one of the children, my parents actually loved me and would never have dumped me at the border. When this one fails to work how long until the next excuse for amnesty.

Not sure about how much of this is simply rumor or not. If true, of course it should have never happened and the responsible parties must be punished.
However, parental supervision, esp in the kids' home country, would have avoided the entire fiasco.

then maybe you would like to fund the legal fees for the immigration courts for the subsequent removal proceedings.

And that is the plan. Flood the country with the "oh so cute" kids, then argue that it will just cost too much to get them gone. Once here, then file to bring mommy, pappy, sister, and all the aunties and uncles along.

Illegals should not require all that much cost to deport.

I'm shocked, I tell ya. Shocked!

Our border detention facilities are being overrun by illegals in numbers that we are not equipped to deal with and now there are problems mostly due to under staffing and over crowding? Say it ain't so!

We don't need better staffed and larger detention facilities. What we need are fewer illegals. As far as I'm concerned every nickle spent to improve these facilities would be better spent on fencing.

What I don't understand is why now and how are these kids suddenly become our problem?

They didn't all wake up one morning in Central America and decide to take a stroll up to Oklahoma, crossing at least two protected borders. It's too far to swim, and I doubt that any had boats. Flying requires air fare, and these refugees supposedly have no money.

Somebody orchestrated this, and the investigation should be about who, how, and why.

No, there wasn't just some random mad dash for the border. I think this was orchestrated too, and I want to know why and by whom. And the truth will eventually come out.

Cartels are using kids as a diversion to tie up the BP while they move their poison across. But of course the BP are the bad guys.

I can believe that.

What are we supposed to do with these abandoned children?? This is absurd.

So no investigation should be brought into these cases just because they crossed a border illegally?

I guess you could use the Obama Administrations excuse for not deporting these people that are known to be here illegally......we must better determine where to use our resources

Allegations of misconduct by the BP should be investigated and acted on when found. Issues revolving around overcrowding due to the hordes of children being dropped off at the border thanks to the ridiculous procolomations and enforcement policy as it relates to immigration are simply a side effect of the side effect of the ****ty policies. Issues of misconducted by the ILLEGAL people detained should be handled with, oh I don't know, GETTING RID OF THEM instead of housing them and feeding them. Those individuals that are here illegally, and KNOWN to be such, should be booted out of the damn country regardless of age.

The hope, clearly, is that because these are children, they won't be sent back.

Most of the children are from Guatamala, El Salvador, and Honduras...a very, very long trip. How did these hundreds and thousands of kids make it to the border?

I don't disagree but the problem I see is that we're dealing with people who have plenty of incentive to lie. That doesn't mean they're actually lying, of course, but I don't know that there is any real credible evidence that abuse is as widespread as the people indicate.

Do you think that BP agents might not have an incentive to lie, en masse, if it meant their careers?

So a bunch of thugs come across the border illegally along with a bunch of children, who also crossed illegally, and it's somehow our fault that things aren't peachy for them? Hmmm....

cus·to·dy [kuhs-tuh-dee]

noun, plural cus·to·dies.

1. keeping; guardianship; care.

If the detainees were in our care, they are to be taken care of. Nobody is saying it has to be peachy, but protection from rape and abuse is a basic human right as a detainee.

If you disagree, maybe you should be in Iran, where they behead their detainees, or burn them alive as they hang them from street signs.

There would be no crisis event if people would quit crossing into the US illegally.

Yes sir, our borders are secure. Homeland Security told us so.

I am unwilling to blame the overworked, understaffed, underfunded Border Patrol until there is hard evidence of abuse. My bet is that if there is, it will be isolated incidents. I hope that any agent who crossed the line is disciplined. But the entire premise of this thread is to find fault with the Border Patrol when, in my view, it's doing the best that it can in an overwhelming situation that is requiring the transporting of minors to other states and meanwhile providing them with shelter, food, baths, and so on.

I don't disagree, but when the border is overwhelmed, bad things happen. I don't get all sweaty and fevered when they're served frozen sandwiches, and while I hate it that some are abused, they or their parents bear primary responsibility - they're the ones who came here illegally. I don't know about you, but when I illegally trespass, I generally don't expect to be treated especially well. Just saying that the outrage should be directed elsewhere. I'm pretty certain the BP is doing all it can. The obvious solution would be for them to stay home.

What would the BP agents be lying about? and why would it mean their careers?

Do you think there are really that many animals working in the Border Patrol?

I say we weed out the dirtbags and gang-bangers among the immigrants--not detainees--a cart their butts back to where they came from.

We have enough garbage in this country, as it is, we don't need to import more.
