Congressman Raul Labrador thinks the way some people in his party is totally absurd. ;)

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) chastised some members of his party Tuesday for their reaction to the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, saying they should stop acting like the prisoner swap President Barack Obama arranged was unprecedented.

"I'm a little bit disturbed by some of the Republicans out there who keep saying this has never happened before," Labrador said during an interview with the radio station670 KBOI in Boise, Idaho. "That is not entirely true. If you look historically, at the end of any conflict, you have a swap of prisoners, and that happens. Usually our side will release people that are less than desirable in order to get some of our people back in these swaps. So I would suggest that anybody who's being hyper-critical about this, they should look at the history. This has happened before."

Obama has received a significant amount of opposition from conservatives for releasing five former members of the Taliban who were being held at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Bergdahl, who was the United States' only known prisoner of war in Afghanistan. The five men will be under a travel ban in Qatar for a year.

I'm going to wait for the official Media Matters response to the Huffington Huff's article before I comment.

So you have nothing serious to say about a GOP Congressman who has frequently spoken about Impeachment on other GOP witchhunts?
I'd like to think Labrador is being straight on this one, rather than defending Bergdahl who just happens to live in his Congressional District.
It's been a long time since a Democrat has served from Idaho, so Labrador must be answering his phones .

But seriously, Congressman Raul Labrador thinks the way some people in his party is totally absurd. Der blubber blub. This is brilliance that is "NIMBY" approved after all? As soon as he logs in? Kobie too. Sound the horn! Oh NO! Look out, Hatuey is thinking about dipping his beak in too! All the elders of knowledge and wisdom gathered together! The equinox!

This would be prudent.

The Congressman does represent the home state of the Bergdahl's.

I see the Idahoans have now had second thoughts of having a celebration as soon as they started hearing what Bergdahl's former platoon members have come out and made public, what the Obama administration has refused to do.
