SHOCKER!!! Charles Krauthammer backs Bowe Bergdahl deal - Kendall Breitman - POLITICO.com

Charles Krauthammer says he supports President Barack Obama’s deal to bring Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl home.
“Had the choice been mine I would have made the same choice,” Krauthammer told Fox News’ “Special Report” on Wednesday. “It’s a difficult decision, and I would not attack those who have done otherwise.”

It's rare but this time I disagree with Charles. It wasn't worth it in my view.

Surprising.
Having followed Krauthammer's career for many years I can safely say there is nothing surprising or shocking about this. Nor his other comments that are far less "positive" about the administration handling of the Bergdahl matter. Now what is humorous about this post is it is the second thread in as many days that highlights comments that pbrauer would have us pay attention to and pay credence to. Which is funny because usually Media Matter's proxy pbrauer, would have us believe the opposite about anything Fox News, Shepard Smith or Charles Krauthammer says. To quote the great proxy, "Krauthammer's a hack." :lamo

The Hammer got this one wrong.....he keeps saying POW exchange. He forgot one major important fact. The Taliban are not a Nation State. Nor are they the ruling governmental authority in Afghanistan.

Joe Walsh and Others are tearing the Hammer up over this.

Moreover it is a mute point now. Both sides of the Aisle aren't accepting what BO had to say over the Matter. Plus the American People have spoken. ;)

CNN’s most recent poll provided a clear indicator of this dynamic in the wake of two major controversies involving military issues. The results showed that Obama did not gain a majority of support for any of twelve issues surveyed from the respondents. In fact, in ten of the twelve issues, majorities disapproved of the President’s performance, and only on one – the environment, usually an overwhelming Democratic strength – did his approval exceed his disapproval, and only barely at 49/45. On the economy and health care, which the poll identified as the top two priorities of its respondents, Obama’s approval ratings sank to 38/61 and 36/63, respectively.

The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza assigns the change in polling to a crisis of leadership and competence in the White House. “The core of Obama’s appeal,” wrote Cillizza about the 2008 election “was the idea that he would restore competence back to the White House after President George W. Bush's eight years…. Obama openly embraced the idea that he was the anti-Bush on nothing much more than his commitment to putting the best people in the right places within his administration.”

Now, the series of disastrous scandals and unmistakable incompetence have completely eroded confidence in his leadership, Cillizza argues, pointing to a Pew poll series in which his perceived executive competence went from 70/15 in February 2009 to 43/51 in December 2013.....snip~

Not everyone is going to toe the party line, because it automatically criticizes their politically opponent. Sometimes the truth and reality of something is not simply, one sided.

Hes wrong and it still doesn't negate the fact Obama broke the law or that Bergdahl is not and was never a "POW"

Krauthammer is dreadfully wrong here. The deserter was not a POW.

Krauthammer says there's, "overwhelming evidence that Bergdahl deserted", his post, too.

Krauthammer: Bergdahl disappearance 'must be investigated' | Fox News

When Bergdahl comes home we can find out if that is true.

Let me guess, if he says he didn't desert, we should just take his word for it and that's the end of it?...lol!

It will be interesting to hear what he calls it. "just got tired of what I was expected to do" just isn't going to make it!

Greetings, apdst. :2wave:

The Taliban are not a Nation State. Nor are they the ruling governmental authority in Afghanistan.

Bergdahl is not and was never a "POW"

So you would have had no interest in a safe return of this man? Were Union soldiers taken prisoner by Confederate troops POWs?

We're fighting a war against the Taliban in Afghanistan. Bergdahl was taken prisoner by enemy forces in that war. The claim that he was not a POW makes me physically ill.

The Taliban.....are not the ruling Authority and they are only one that have been classified by the US Government as NON-Combatants With a Designation of Terrorists.

Go read the NY Times and they will aptly point that out to ya.

He is a Deserter.....and BO set this up. To try and gain Kudos with closing out the Afghanistan war. It has backfired in his face now. As Feinstein the Democrat set him out.

That's totally absurd apdst.

You'd think pbrauer would get tired of this refrain. Only not so much. Which is why, I guess, he keeps linking to Media Matters and speaking about the absurd at the same time. It is a real "shocker" to him, Media Matters Debate Politics Proxy, that Krauthammer would take this position! Media Matters, thus their proxy, never saw it coming despite Krauthammer's decades long public career. Particularly when Media Matters proxy has supplied ample Media Matters proxy soup so often that says all Krauthammer has to offer is proxy soup. To quote the great Media Matters proxy, Krauthammer is a hack! So of course it all is totally absurd! Might it be time for Kobie to arrive and "like" the latest from the proxy soup kitchen? :inandout:

What is this flotsam offal scum at the top of my proxy soup? Like everything else it must be some kind of absurd. :sarcasticclap

Looks like far-right TEAbagger Congressman Raul Labrador is not going all flame-out asshole as flip-floppers McCain and Ayotte.
Seems there's a NIMBY effect going down here, mwith Bergdahl from Labrador's congressional district.

I mean really, MMC using Firearms Feinstein when Krauthammer supports Obama and McChrystal says give Bergdahl a fair hearing . :lamo

Actually, the Taliban WAS the government of Afghanistan before we invaded that country.

That's funny as hell. There are rumors that Michelle O might run for Senate, perhaps she should move to California and run for Feinstein's seat.

Only when he doesn't trot out your position, to have a phony scandal a week.
Wait? What? A internet derrrrbator named NIMBY hacks my posted comments to then talk about the trots he got from his hackneyed consumption? Me thinks NIMBY never grasped what a "hack" was in the first place. That said? Oh bravo! Truly, BRAVO! Seriously, never go full retard.:lamo
