And contrary to the Taliban policy, held talks with Karzai’s negotiators. After their first meeting, they had agreed to hold more talks to push the peace process.

Sources close to Agha Jan had told The Express Tribune that he had been working on a plan to convene a big conference of religious scholars.

The media is irrelevant. If the media was the deciding factor in all of this, I've got some oceanfront property in Iowa I'd like you to check out. Seriously, 6 years of supposed "scandals", I could drag up countless links from the "media" reporting on them all - and what would it do politically? Nothing. If Republicans needed the "media" to be on their side to carry out investigations and hand out sanctions they're even weaker than I thought. You don't need the media to start impeachment hearings

You carry on as if there are no circumstances that warrant investigating wrongdoing.

Fast and Furious investigation proved the administration lied and tried to cover up wrongdoing. It's disturbing when the Atty General is found guilty of criminal contempt and the administration did nothing. It is disturbing when the Fast and Furious story broke, that Obama claimed he learned about it in the newspaper! It is disturbing when this administration willfully engaged in a "lying campaign" over Benghazi to the point of lying to the families who lost loved ones for political cover. It took Judicial Watch to obtain documents that this White House heavily redacted or didn't turn over at all to discover once again this administration at best lied and at worst was very incompetent in dealing with Benghazi. It is disturbing when an administration increased VA funding by almost 60% yet allowed mismanagement of those funds to go unchecked to the point veterans are dying because of lack of healthcare. It is disturbing that the president and members of his administration came before the American people making the claim there wasn't a "smidgen" of proof of wrong doing involving the IRS. But it took Judicial Watch having to go to court to get the documents that prove otherwise and now several Democrat senators are being investigated. And a Democrat appointee Lois Lerner, had to take the fifth multiple times before Congress for fear of incriminating herself. How stupid do you think the American people are that they can't discern a rat when they see one? It is disturbing that this president stood before the American people and lied numerous times when he told them they could keep their healthcare provider and their doctor under Obamacare when every damn Democrat member of Congress knew damn well that wasn't the case and congressional records verifies that to be so because of numerous debates on that very issue were argued in both houses of Congress. It is very disturbing that this president and members of his administration felt they had the right to violate the law in releasing GITMO detainees without informing Congress. There is bi-partisan agreement in Congress that Obama broke the law. Law experts Toobin and Dershowitz agree. While you contend these scandals are going "nowhere", when the Senate loses its Democrat majority, the stalling tactics will cease and this administration will lose its cover.

Yes they did.....and after the story broke. If you can't see all that took place due to their reporting and the pressure that was put on. Then you definitely are lacking with any insight at all.

Lately I've heard that there was talk of a deal of ransom for Bergdahl but that wouldn't have done anything re Gitmo so that was scrapped.

The one thing that brought O the shizz storm this time was all those fellow soldiers defying the non-disclosure about Bergdahl.
