The US has power but it is reluctant to use it, making it all a rather expensive investment and of not much use. Lesser powers are taking advantage of this, as well as Russia and China.

While being a foreign policy failure the federal government domestically appears more interested in policing their own citizens, where a SWAT team can make the Feds look very serious about where the real power lies. Constitution free zones and free speech zones tend to foresee where this once great country is headed.

No, I'm asking you should we bomb Iran to prevent them from possibly obtaining a nuclear weapon. Have some integrity, stay on topic, and answer the question.

Obama has made it very clear that an armed response is off the table and the Iranians are playing him like a cheap fiddle. Just like the nuke deal; we got NOTHING out of that.

No he hasn't, whats made it clear than an armed response is off the table is the fact after over a decade of war no one wants to start another one. Americans only have so much patience for war and its long been used up.

I don't disagree with you except that Iran is in no position to attack the U.S. and they know it. They can't fund enough terrorism to eliminate the U.S. I also decry where the country is headed but it isn't there yet. Pure bluster.

There is no reason for Iran to attack the US when they are fighting another war (encouraging the spread of Islamism) and doing quite well. The US has become a spectator to world events and are largely being ignored. Same with Europe.

They don't need much to fund terrorism, just an occasional act of terror, successful or attempted, and people will continue to be fearful of being too critical. The court system, propaganda, continued anti Americanism in America and a sympathetic Left are also working to their advantage. They understand it may take 100 or 200 years to achieve their goal but they are thinking long term, not election cycles.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

But as the old guard dies off, and personal memory goes with it, tempers will cool.

Martyrdom is cool, until all your martyrs are dead. I'm betting the power mad like live people to have power over, like they always do.

If Iran lights a nuke they are DONE. We know it and they know it.

They can't keep us from smoking pot, how are they going to enforce Shari'a?

For me, the first time i see a crowd gathering with rocls to stone somebody i will drive my car back and forth through the crowd until they umderstand such behavior is unacceptable. I doubt i'm the only one.

Syria was never going to be 'destroyed', at least not by us. If you believed that, then you have some serious problem with grasping reality.

The people anxious for war tend to be those that have never fought in one and are unlikely to ever fight in another one.
