You are forgetting an "s"
"In the U.S., organizers said thousands"
Not true. A strike is when workers refuse to work. It says nothing about the whole industry has to or the majority of industry has to. 45,000 workers of verizon went on strike in very recent history, which is not even close to the amount that work for them and that was considered "huge".
How? By attracting public attention and awareness. Not meaningless at all... Especially when the vast majority of Americans believe the minimum wage should be increased...
Raising the minimum wage is socialism? **** by your knowledge some GOP Presidents who signed a raise in the wage must of supported socialism!
