Despite doomsday warnings from the White House and lawmakers on both sides that hundreds of thousands would lose their jobs as a result of the sequester, it turns out the budget cuts have only led to one job being lost among 23 federal agencies.
Now Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., is demanding answers as to why the Obama administration repeatedly warned taxpayers that the $85.3 billion in spending cuts, which went into effect in March 2013, would threaten hundreds of thousands of jobs. The findings were revealed in a government watchdog report.

The effects of the sequester mainly will be felt in the upkeep and maintaining of things especially the military. Eventually the sequester is going to hurt more than it saves because those things that need updating, maintaining, or replacing won't be until they completely break now which will be more costly without the sequester.

No jobs were really lost because the government just went without doing those necessary things and will cost more later. The sequester is not the answer for the military.

The purpose of the government has nothing to do with employing people. Read the constitution.

To hear Obama and the Democrats, the Republicans were going to be responsible for thousands of lost jobs, the closures of businesses, mayhem and destruction in the streets - all while pulling the wings off butterflies and barring the doors to all hospitals so the poor people had to die in the streets.

It is something that Congress has proposed.” Sperling finally wilted under the pressure of tough questioning to admit that “yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama’s plan.”

You should read the report that Fox News links to, or at least look over it, you'll find that the sequestration did impact quite a lot of people not all of whom government workers.
