Michael Jordan: I was against all white people

That is far from the only difference, but it goes back to what I have been saying...different things are different. It is pretty stupid to get upset because people treat different things differently.

I'm not upset. This is a forum. We're allowed to call out and question bull**** things in this world on here, are we not?

So name me the person who "changed their views" and didn't get a pass? There's little evidence that Paula Deen "changed her views."

Actually, the book in question about Jordan was written by someone else, and he took the racism quotes from a Playboy interview with Jordan. In 1992. So this has been on the record for 22 years, and nobody gave a **** until right now.

There's really little evidence that Jordan changed his views either, other than his word, same as we have from Deen.

The depositions in the Deen case make it clear she hasn't changed her views.

There is nothing from the last 30-some years of Michael Jordan's life that indicates he is a racist.

Then do it honestly.

Paula Deen: Says she changed her views, has depositions from a lawsuit that indicate she hasn't.

Michael Jordan: Says he changed his views, has nothing to indicate he hasn't.

I honestly do not see why this is so difficult for you to understand.

Where's the depositions from the Deen case? (Actually I never even knew there was a Deen 'case')

The lawsuit (from a former employee) was where the "N-bomb" revelation came out. Here's the full transcript of the deposition:

Here's the Racist Paula Deen Deposition Transcript - Scandals - Eater National

Here's something else:
Paula Deen’s Cook Alleges Racism, Slurs by Celebrity Chef - ABC News

Dude, with all due respect, that is a horse**** link and you know it! If Paula Deen is a racist because of that, then MJ and Charles Barkley are the grand dragons of their local Black Panthers chapters.

You cited a link that begins with 'Here's the racist Paula Deen...'. Plus, even excusing that, what in that link says that she is a racist today?

Read. The. ****ing. Transcript.

The first link had the relevant excerpts from the deposition. The last one I posted has the full 149-page deposition. My guess is you're not going to read either.

Nothing in that ****ing transcript says that she is a racist TODAY. I did read it.

The allegations in the ABC story sure do nothing to dispel the idea.

I also never said that the transcript showed she was a racist on May 8, 2014. I said the transcript shows her racist past goes far beyond the "she used the N-bomb a couple of times 30 years ago" line that you were parroting.

Maybe I have to read his book to see why he hated white people, but given that he & I are the same age, I have no clue what in the hell white people were doing to him as a teenager that would make him say something like that, or think something like that. He came from a 2-parent home where both parents worked. He was a superstar athlete even in high school. What, was the KKK was burning crosses on his front lawn and every white kid in HS was threatening to lynch him? He probably never saw a Klansman.

It sounds as if he was told to hate white people by someone else. Or if it's because he watched Roots (which was not only propoganda, but was exposed as bull**** that Haley made up), WTF? That isn't an excuse to "be against all white people". It sounds like a cop out. His white GF called him the "N" word? So? Like we haven't all been called a name by someone in our lives?

Sorry if that offends some of you who are jumping to his defense, but that's how I see it.

Which one, the deposition link? THAT IS THE RELEVANT TEXT OF THE DEPOSITION.

Here's the full 149-page document: Transcript of the Testimony of Paula Deen Date: May 17, 2013

Have fun plowing through that.

I read the entire transcript. Hers as well as the woman who was bringing the lawsuit. The transcripts - especially Deen's transcript - were extremely telling. There is so much more to that case than the use of the N word, which is not all she has done, nor is it all he has done.

The problem is if you don't want to believe anything, you aren't going to believe it, no matter what evidence is given to you. Deen could stand up in his face and yell the N word, and if he closes his mind to it, he's not going to believe it, no matter what.

In all fairness, though I didn't research this but have heard it from sources close to where Jordan grew up, in that area, you would have the KKK chapters sponsoring local little league teams. I can kind of understand the white resentment in his youth, I just can't understand the double standard.

Right, I read what he said. Paula Deen admitted that she used the N word over 3 decades ago, and she grew up, and it was all over the news and she lost her career. Why does Jordan get a pass?

I'm not saying Jordan should be hated and lose his current career over this, but I also don't think others should have their name smeared and lose their careers either over similar past actions or feelings.

Because the libs say you can't use language that is hurtful. And calling out whitey isn't hurtful.

It's the liberal bias.

Blacks use the "N" word all the time, but the minute a white person uses it, they are racists.

If you're against minimum wage increases you're racist too...

If you think her deposition was bad, don't read her brother's deposition

How in the hell did this thread end up being 90% of the posts about Paula Deen?

So then post the links to the 'so much more that is going on' that you are asserting.
