Americans agree with Barbara Bush

Schweitzer is an interesting guy...He's half German, half Irish. Has a Jewish name, but he's Catholic. That last name will probably hurt him with some of the ill-educated. That said, he's aligned with the NRA, so he might pass muster with conservative dems and repubs.

I think so. I also like the fact he was a governor, he has experience in governing and running an executive type branch even though Montana is not one of the bigger states. He also has experience working across the aisle as the Republicans control the state legislature. In a way Schweitzer is a fairly conservative type Democrat without the stigma of being from the south. After all, the last fairly conservative Democrat we had, Bill Clinton didn't do too bad at all.
