Sarah Palin: 'Waterboarding Is How We'd Baptize Terrorists' If I Were In Charge

No, us heathen liberals have been screeching about that for ages now, and you guys keep criticizing us for doing that too.

I do? Where?

Make up your minds.

How many minds do I have?

The NSA surveillance thing? Remember the PATRIOT act and how all those hippies were mad about it? This is what they were talking about.

So I now I am in favor of the NSA and the PATRIOT act? I am shocked because that is soooo unlike me.

First this...

Bottom line... you do not torture troops. Torture in any form is illegal and punishable.

Then this...

Waterboarding is not torture.

I would love to see those who suggest that waterboarding isn't torture actually get waterboarded and then afterward tell me that you weren't getting tortured. In fact I would pay money to see it.

Fortunately, the bloc that thinks she's anything other than a know-nothing jackass grifter is growing smaller by the day. Her support is minimal. She's basically a shock jock.

She's Ann Coulter with tits

Sean Hannity never followed up on his waterboarding bet. Shame.

Good morning OD - to answer your question, no, I said no such thing.

Good morning CJ. I believe you. It sounded that way though.

So what exactly did you mean?

Good morning CJ. I believe you. It sounded that way though.

So what exactly did you mean?

Good morning OD - I had to go back and check - yesterday is so yesterday, you know.

What I was questioning was TheDemSocialist's take on two issues he brought up at the same time yesterday. In the first one, he was suggesting that the US and others should take a hard line against Kuwait because they were providing arms and financial assistance to "terrorists" in the Syrian mess. In the second, he was complaining that Sarah Palin was taking a hard line against terrorists. It seemed a bit inconsistent. In fact, you could argue that if Sarah Palin was President, based on her comments in this thread, she might very well take the hard line approach against Kuwait that TheDemSocialist was promoting.

I didn't, in fact, take any position one way or another related to waterboarding although, if I was to take a position, I wouldn't be at all opposed to it under certain circumstances. I do also find it inconsistent that many who oppose waterboarding have no problem with Obama killing suspected terrorists with drone attacks and aren't even concerned with the "collateral damage" of innocents, including children, being vaporized in the process, as simply a cost of the war on terrorism. I'd much rather see a terrorist involved in the murder of innocent people be waterboarded than to see an innocent child vaporized simply for being in he wrong place at the wrong time.

And this coming from a supporter of Obama, Biden, Pelosi and Reid; four turds floating is a sewer.

Maybe someone should tell Palin that Obama hasn't stopped the practice then so she can stop lying.

Has her son been baptized?

I think everybody who thinks waterboarding is not torture should be "not tortured."

Do you also believe that everybody who thinks the death penalty is fine and dandy should be executed?

I'm failing to see the link you've created.

That's a pretty lame analogy. Let me guess, you don't think waterboarding is torture?

I don't think though that the issue was taking a hard line against anyone. I think the issue is the issue was using waterboarding as a way to take that hard line stance. So I don't see the contradiction.

I can't argue with you there. I have to confess I haven't done enough reading on the use of drones to understand the reality of the collateral damage. But based on what I do know I find it shameful.

Nobody thinks that the death penalty doesn't result in death.

Funny how waterboarding became torture when GW Bush was President. The left just needed something else to vilify Bush over, so they decided it was torture. Sorry, it's not, even if it helps you politically.

Also, notice all those smart, well thought out arguments against Palin. LOL! She's not the one that looks like an idiot from those comments.

Nothing like combining Christian baptism and torture. Hey but im sure it god all the wacko idiots at the NRA convention real fired up.

Goodness Gracious me, does this woman have no sense of decency. The good thing about us is that we are not as bad as the terrorists but that we are better. We have morals where the terrorists have none. We are superior as long as we do not stoop to the level of these terrorists and water boarding is not a good way to get the truth but also an unacceptable method.

It is rather surprising to see she still gets media coverage. Talk about your fifteen minutes of fame having expired long ago.

Actually the argument isn't whether or not waterboarding is torture, it clearly is under the laws of the Geneva Convention. The question is whether or not terrorists fall under the laws of the GC because they break the laws of war. But let's not let facts get in the way of a good right wing fantasy

Anyone dumb enough to lay down with Palin gets fleas...

Nobody thinks that the death penalty doesn't result in death.

Perhaps you have statistics on the number of detainees who've died from waterboarding in the last decade or so in US custody. To my knowledge, the number is zero - do you have other information?

Waterboarding is baptism for terrorists. I like it. Creative and humorous. Good one Sarah.

Rather blasphemous for a self proclaimed Christian. A big no no...

Another brilliant retort. We are talking about torture, not death.

What's lame about it? If it embarrasses you to answer, that doesn't make it lame.

As pointed out. No one denies the death that occurs under the death penalty. Your analogy falls flat on its face.
