Condi Rice Blasts Obama on Weakness, Leadership

I agree, and as a matter of fact, I hope she does not run because I sincerely wish for her happiness. She would be putting on a crown of thorns. I was very, very angry when Olmert insulted her in that way. I guess because I like her so much, I took it personally. That's the type of stuff she will have to endure in that office. I don't want to see her go through that.

What "White race stuff"? Did he say anything that wasn't true? And, as we all know, it is the Dems, including the current president, who are constantly playing the race card.

They'll find something on Condi, no matter how obscure, and build it up in the media non-stop, just as they did with Clarence Thomas. The idea that a Black woman could be a viable Presidential candidate would be a nightmare for the Democrats, and they would pull out all stops. Condi must know this.

Is America 'sides' to you? Citizens should elect who would be the best leader for the entire country, not just for their 'side'. The better candidate in the last election lost, and so did the country, but the left will still look at it as a team sport. That's why their intelligence is open to question.

Of course you cannot explain this "crap" and feel Barrack Obama would get the country out of debt, get everyone working again, have an open government, restore American pride internationally, stop lobbyists from running amok in Washington, and so on. That's the crap you can live with, huh?

There were dozens of references to a non-existent Iraqi nuclear program and you know it. Evven after we invaded and found nothing she persisted in telling that lie. The American people will never giver her a pass for that.

Speaking last week before the National Association of Black Journalists, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said, "Let us be very clear about why we went to war against Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein's regime posed a threat to the security of the United States and the world. This was a regime that had pursued, had used, and possessed weapons of mass destruction." Rice did not dare tread upon the issues that were not clear. Her cocksure posture could not hide the fact that she made no other mention of weapons of mass destruction in her prepared remarks. The United States has yet to find any after nearly five months of war and occupation. This was after a war buildup where Bush officials boasted they were certain where the weapons were.

Just as significant is that there was not a single reference in her set speech about Saddam trying to acquire nuclear weapons. Before the war, Rice said, "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud." The scary vision of mushroom clouds was repeated by Bush and General Tommy Franks, head of Central Command. Vice President Dick Cheney declared Saddam to be a "mortal threat" on his way to "nuclear blackmail."

In a question-and-answer session after her speech, Rice continued to assert that she was "certain to this day that this regime was a threat, that it was pursuing a nuclear weapon."

How many times should she have told that lie? She made the rounds and said it as many times as she was asked. She was a prominent mouthpiece for the run up it the war and her resume is just full of that poppycock.

I like Rice and thought she was a good partner in the Bush Administration....but this:

To me it's pretty clear she's talking about leadership and the vacuum created by us reducing our leadership role in the world, not a desire to go to war.
