Condi was a big mouthpiece for the false info leading to the Iraq War. After she said "mushroom cloud" about 100 times I lost all trust in her. Hillary would tear her to pieces and she knows it. That's why she won't run.
my impression is condi has a fear of failure
i don't know that she will take on an assignment unless she is absolutely certain she will accomplish it
and if my unscientific opinion is correct, that might keep her out of the race
but the woman has an impeccable CV
she has experience and expertise
she has criticism from cheney and rumsfeld, which will help distance her from the failed dicknbush regime
and she has an open field; there is no one on the GOP horizon who could effectively challenge her if she did choose to run
a black woman. cuts into the demo assurance of the black vote
has equal standing with hillary regards the womens' vote
and i would not be surprised if she could not acquire a larger portion of the centrist vote, compared to clinton
that's the segment which decides elections
republican turnout is stronger than demo turnout
suspect that will especially be the case with a hillary candidacy. where is the motivation to turn out the vote
don't think the demos could effectively demonize condi
and then there is that intangible element of charisma. while bill had it in spades, hillary has none. condi tops her there, too
here is where i believe condi has the edge. she is interested in policy - NOT politics. that is a plus in today's anti-politician environment. our nation craves someone who can effect and articulate sound public policy. in contrast, hillary is a political operative. not an idea generator. not a person who inspires with her solutions. this quality is what makes condi the republican party's ideal candidate today. the party should draft her
condi running against hillary is the demo nightmare scenario to holding the white house in 2016
