Condi Rice Blasts Obama on Weakness, Leadership

Obviously, the only thing you know about her is what the Libbo propagandists have told you. I get it!

No it's about her. She just isn't deep enough to be on the world stage leading the most powerful country in the world. It's a difficult job. I'm no Republican by any stretch, but I'll tell you something, he was a dirty white man, but George H W Bush was a real president. I may not have agreed with him and James Baker, but at the end of the day, you could look at what they did and say, ok, that made sense, I can live with that. Palin? Please. Dubya? Please.

Since it was.
The Nation is numb to your team's racism.
NIMBY not so much .

As usual, ANY, criticism of The One is raaaaaaciiiiiist! :lamo

"Dubya"? You just exposed your partisan hackery. Great job!

Who did Rumsfeld say it about then?
I'm not a weak-kneed liberal you can deny the truth to over and over.
What was Rumsfeld implying?

This is the thing about you rightiecons these days.
You won't walk back the egregious spew coming from your team day-in and day-out, like with Nugent and Limbaugh and now Rumsfeld.
Expect we Dems to continue to fight back with the facts .

Here's what he said:
“We have status of forces agreements probably with 100, 125 countries in the world," Rumsfeld said. "This administration, the White House, and the State Department, have failed to get a status of forces agreement. A trained ape could get a status of forces agreement. It doesn’t take a genius.”

I listened to the recording of when he made the comment and to me it was a phrase used out of exasperation to indicate the cluelessness of the administration. He did not reference anyone in particular, so trying to spin it that he said Obama was a trained ape was way more than a stretch, wouldn't you agree?

What's wrong with Dubya? That's what they call him in Texas to differentiate him from H W.

My point is that Palin's mission right now is to get her GOP candidates into the House and Senate.
Just a quick read of the lead pages of RealClearPolitics for this week will tell you who she has endorsed.
Just one example: Joni Ernst in Iowa, who started an ad with "I grew up castrating hogs ...
I guess I'm one of the few Dems on dp that respects Palin's influence in GOP primaries.
It remains to be seen how well Palin's candidates do in the general election .
No, I really don't think that the other GOP presidential hopefuls are afraid of either Condi or Palin. Too many Republicans would be - ahem - uncomfortable with voting for a black woman who just might be lesbian, but on the other hand too few Republicans are stupid enough to vote for Palin for her to have a real shot at the nomination.

What racism? Oh, you mean disagreeing with Obama is racism because he's black?

Do you think it's possible that people can disagree with Obama because they disagree with his policies, or is it just because he's black?

I do not agree with you.
If the GOP had not been using monkey-terms for 5+ years, maybe.
This is a deliberate attempt by the GOP to smear Obama in the worst way.
It makes me sick to my stomach and I will fight it with my last dying breath .

This one out of the GOP play book is already old.

For you to ask that question removes all doubt about you .

But when it comes to running in an actual election, I strongly believe that Palin will never be anything more than a spoiler, someone who would split the conservative vote and be more likely to enable a moderate - as far as any modern Republicans can be called 'moderate' - to take the nomination.

Y'know, when it was announced that she was on McCain's short list of VEEP prospects, I knew immediately it would be her. Why? He's a retired sailor. Being one myself, that's all I needed to know.

Joni Ernst's chance improved, tecentlt. Speaking of dummies. :lamo

Please educate me - what doubt has it removed for you about me? And please be specific.

I finds it very unusual that Rand Paul and Paul Ryan didn't make the cut at the Adelson primary in Vegas tonight.
Especially Sen. Paul, who is the GOP odds-on favorite IMHO and not a wing-nut like Cruz.
And it's the Senate races where the GOPs have been ****ing up with loons, not the POTUS nominees.

Talk about a king-maker and big-money influence.
There was a time in the Nation when Mccain/Finegold was thought to be a good thing .

They're afraid of Palin. Thats why they spend so much time on her.

Honestly, I don't think it's fear. She's certainly done enough dumb things to giver her opponents all the fuel they need to rag on her constantly. i think she's accomplished a great deal and does have influence in the political process, but she's not someone I would vote for.

Awww, poor babies! Ain't karma a bitch?

Go back and read my posts about Palin in this thread.
All respectful detailing her influence in GOP primaries.
I won't hold my breath for a retraction apdst .

She was asked stupid, infantile, idiotic questions in interviews and answeredthem poorly. So what? You never saw Obama getting cheap shots like that.

Questions like... what do you read is a cheap shot?

I'm not disagreeing with you.

Yeah and that's the thing that get's you. You could see how shallow she was from her answers. When you don't know something, there's a way to tactfully do that. A person with real depth doesn't have to be coached or told how to do that. It's just what you are about.

Several CONs in the BushII administration felt Condi was in over her head, Cheney was very critical of her lack of gravitas. I don't see her as running for any political office, she is more the bureaucrat than 'Decider in Chief'.

But it is fun to read all the CONs cluck about how the left fears.... fill in name...

It's even more fun to see people who on any other topic would call Rumsfeld and Cheney liars, but on this they are the unimpeachable sources of all that is true and right.

Has anyone accused Obama's daughters of having illigitimate children?

Not that I've heard.
But I don't think anyone accused Palin's daughters of having, as you call them, illegitimate children.
Accusations weren't needed, it was a fact.
