A bluff is something that you put forward with the assumption that you are dealing with reasonable people, not suicidal maniacs. What Obama didn't realize is that he was dealing with the type of people that will cut off their nose to spite their face. Republicans are the maniacs that seized upon the idea, so yeah it's their baby. There is nothing convoluted about that notion.

Convolution is a mathematical operation in which two functions are combined. The convolution here is the combination of Republican stupidity with insanity that results in chaos. A good example was the recent government shutdown. Stupidity combined with insanity.

Sarah Palin has enjoyed a great deal of success in her life yet the killer sheep are still attacking her years after MsCain nominated her as VP. Condi, must know this.

I stated a simple fact that radical Republican hyperbole, combined with institutional homophobia, would manifest a predictable defensive mechanism. Subtle, perhaps dirty, but predictable. Just becasue Condi shares a mortgage with Randy Dean doesn't state anything, except a financial transaction, eh? Keerrisssst, it's like fishing for carp (bottom feeders).

I believe that whe said "Why, we had no idea that planes might be used to strike targets in the USA." I paraphrased that and I remember because one of the Northeast US operations ongoing during the WTC attacks on 9/11 was a simulated attack by plane on a target (building). Who'd a thunk it? Eh?

And yes, he had. It started while Bill Clinton was POTUS, years before Condi was Secretary of State. They just always like to ignore that troublesome fact.

Why would anyone on the left be scared of Condi running? Because she's black? Or maybe because she's a woman? Hmm.... identity politics? tisk tisk.

If Condi were to run, the left would get to re-litigate the Bush administration. I can't imagine there are very many Republicans itching to defend the decision to invade Iraq, torture, not catching Bin Laden, war on the cheap, sending troops into battle without proper body armour... etc. The whole purpose of the "Tea Party" moniker was a re-branding effort to distance the current GOP from the Bush Administration. No one wants to go back there.
