Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot, $8,350-per-night suite inconveniencing 'pretty much everyone' -- and the first lady's mother is 'barking at the staff' | Mail Online

Michelle Obama and three of her family members are staying in a $8,350-per-night Beijing presidential suite, but despite a 24-hour butler and other perks that come with the lodging, her entourage has inconvenienced 'pretty much everyone' and made the hotel staff 'fed up,' a well-placed hotel staffer has told MailOnline.

The sumptuous pad at the Westin Beijing Chaoyang hotel – its website calls the room 'an oasis of comfort – is a 3,400-square-foot masterpiece including a private steam room, 'corner sofas with silk pillows,' and in-room dining for six.

But the Obamas' stay has already affected staff and guests at the hotel, with the Westin front-desk veteran alleging that Mrs. Obama's mother Marian Robinson has been 'barking at the staff since she arrived.'
Government security forces from both China and the U.S. started Thursday to screen everyone who entered the building, including paying guests, setting up checkpoints that resemble those at airline concourse entrances.

Anyone surprised?

Surprised there are multiple threads on a non story....yeah.

Surprised at people grasping at anything they can possibly find to soil the name Obama...Nope.

Re: Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot,

I don't like Obama because of things that people who aren't Obama do!

Meh...they need no assistance, they are fully capable of soiling themselves... and then expecting us to pay for it.

Barking at the staff is the only way to get more towels. If you meow they just don't take you seriously.

Re: Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot,

Maybe if Obama would do something, just anything, so the RWers woudl not have to just make up stuff.

Yeah, those aweful RW's! Making up this story and putting it in the newspaper.

Impossible! They would have to possess class to show class, and that is something they do not have. Hard to believe we have almost three more years with this bozo.

I wanna get one of those hidden Oba Mao T-Shirts from the great wall.

Re: Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot,

I wouldn't pay eight grand for a hotel room if it came with blowjobs from Megan Fox on demand. You pay that much, and you can be a bit more demanding.

Having said that, I wish Michelle would hold off on the million-dollar-a-month budget given to her vacations. She's gonna milk the idiocy of the American populace all eight years.

Meowing is notably passive.

Mark my words: The Obamas are going to go down in history as the first President and First Lady to travel anywhere.

Michelle Obama joins list of First Ladies going abroad on taxpayers' dime - NY Daily News

Jacqueline Kennedy's high-profile trip to India and Pakistan opened all kinds of diplomatic doors for the U.S. and Hillary Rodham Clinton's many trips abroad were a warm-up for her role as President Obama's secretary of state.

Laura Bush was also a frequent flier who often brought her daughters along for the ride.

Her first foreign foray was a ten-day trip to Paris, Budapest and Prague in 2002 with daughter Jenna, who was then 20.

Laura Bush also made an official trip to Burma in support of the pro-Democracy movement and another to the Middle East to promote breast cancer awareness.

The former First Lady's last official foreign trip was to Panama. She brought daughter Barbara with her.

No word from any 'sources' if Barbara barked at anyone.

Barking is less likely than meowing to be misinterpretted as an old lady making a pass at you. Can't blame her for barking instead of meowing, unless she actually was intending to seduce the help. But then again, I'm not an expert on these things. On second thought, I would probably complain about an old lady trying to seduce me regardless of whether it involved barking or meowing.

Re: Beijing hotel workers already 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400-square-foot,

So the First Lady travels to the capital of our biggest rival and the BIG focus is how she treats the hotel staff?
How about outrage due to:
- Only 2 out of 22 events on her calendar will give reporters the chance to hear her speak and do any real reporting – but without interviewing her
- No reporters are allowed to travel with the first lady on her government aircraft
- The White House is declining to say how much the week-long excursion will cost
- Mrs. Obama will appear for photo-ops and public events that are 'pooled press' – just one reporter or photographer noting her comings and goings

Couple of years in the White House would probably make anyone demanding.

What do they need all those towels for? When I stay at a hotel I barely use one towel a day.

No, the focus was on Michelle's mother supposedly barking at one of the staff, although the story contained no details so nobody knows what this means, exactly. The staff approved of Michelle's and her daughters' behavior.

Change "anywhere" to "everywhere".

I think that woman has a bucket list of getting a passport stamped everywhere on this planet. I support her - when it's not on the taxpayer's dime.

Have you ever traveled with four females?

The most was two for me, the rest I picked up.

Exactly.

According to the article it would seem that the lion's share of what's causing people to be "fed up" is the Secret Service's protection efforts.

The sum total of the offense given by Team Obama boils down to an old lady being crotchety and the Secret Service being tight asses on security.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!
