Putin is now saying we are to caught up with.....our sense of being the Chosen ones. That we believe to much in our exceptionalism. What a joker, huh!

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the United States on Monday of being guided in its foreign policy not by international law but by the "rule of the gun."

"Our Western partners headed by the United States prefer not to be guided by international law in their practical policies, but by the rule of the gun,"

"They have come to believe in their exceptionalism and their sense of being the chosen ones. That they can decide the destinies of the world, that it is only them who can be right.".....snip~

Well it looks like Putin is endorsing the Holy American Empire.

Let's see now. We have military bases in over 140 Countries. Our Military Offense budget is higher than the rest of the World's combined. We gave our largest banks our Treasury so they can try to buy the World's best assets before our currency crashes due to the weight of debt, our money system would crash without a cooperative East-West interactive dichotomy, we support insurrection wherever Large quantities of Energy are located, and, as a Nation, we have profitted handsomely from continuous wars. And that pesky Putin suggests we have a hawkish international policy. He's just being nice. We have put the lunatics in charge of the asylum and they'd just love a war, as long as they don't actually have to participate, but can supervise from nice safe locations. Western Reserve Banks can't seem to get control of Russian and Chinese Banks and that may be the root of the problem. Time will tell. I just read that Ukraine flew its' gold reserves to the New York Federal Reserve. Who'd a thunk it, eh?

You certainly have a point there. But I get the feeling the current WH doesn't much believe in that exceptionalism - more of a belief in moving towards being a world citizen.

Heya DF :2wave: .....I didn't pick that up on the gold being flown here to the US. But I did pick up on The Russians now saying they are concerned about the Russian Speaking Estonians inside Estonia. I put up a thread on it in International Politics, as it was trending.

Considering what the US government has done since 2001, it seems a pretty accurate statement that we live by the rule of the gun.

Or perhaps the rule of the drone.

Yeah....and most liberals and Progressives don't even have half a clue as to what is taking place, with a good Percentage of them not knowing who Putin or Russia is. That's why they do say.....To be aware, is to be Alive!

Am I supposed to care what he thinks of us?

Yeah....and most liberals and Progressives don't even have half a clue as to what is taking place, with a good Percentage of them not knowing who Putin or Russia is. That's why they do say.....To be aware, is to be Alive!

I have noticed conservatives, not only that use this forum, but others, seem to just love Putin and support him more than Obama, must be because conservatives would prefer being ruled by communists.

Well.....as one that's been around and into the mix.....I have always Learned that Liberals and Progressives would blur the lines of that which they don't comprehend. I figure its due to mainly not knowing whats going around them and not knowing about the Big bad world outside their own environments. But there are some that do.....only they are, far and few.

Am I supposed to care what he thinks of us?

Oh I am sure we as Americans don't care.....plus our Smack talk is way better than theirs. Still its what the rest of the Planet takes from it, moreso than us.

Meanwhile, most conservatives are in love with a communist because he said mean things about Obama and the gays. Suddenly rampant authoritarianism is in with the GOP!

Oh I am sure the extreme Right does to and if not worse. But then that's not saying much of anything. Course myself I think Conservatives should stick to playing the Busy lil bees they are. As they are not Suited for the Lime Light. Nor do they know how to handle Progressives and Liberals off the cuff.

Of course I don't have that problem.

But then I don't care which way they lean when it comes to it, at the very least, talk about something that they do know. Not what they don't!

Well when Mr Putin decides to put his money where his mouth is and come man up. I will be ready. Otherwise he is a photo hungry sissy.

It is irrelevant what Putin says, only what Russia does.

Well Crue.....I don't think much of him myself personally. But like I said he is about trying to influence others out there. Who aren't for us or against us. Which don't count any that are really against us. RM had this up a couple of days ago about Putin and his Propaganda. So RM gets the Kudos on it.

Russia launches 'propaganda' war over Ukraine.....

Russia launched an all-out propaganda campaign Sunday to whip up support for possible military action in Ukraine, as state media and ruling party officials claimed armed marauders were terrorising the ex-Soviet nation.

Kremlin-controlled media aired footage aimed at discrediting the new Kiev authorities and rousing anger at alleged outrages perpetrated against the Russian-speaking population.

In a surprise move, Russian television even announced it was cancelling live footage of the Oscars show to concentrate on Ukraine coverage.

"Our propaganda on state channels is really running wild," commented former economy minister Andrei Nechayev on Twitter.

Fanning suspicions of international involvement in the Kiev protests, news channel Russia 24 aired an apparent confession from a young Russian who claimed he was paid to serve as a sniper with opposition forces.

"There are mercenaries there... they come from very different countries: the United States and Germany, they come wearing identical military uniforms," he alleged.

He said he feared violent reprisals for his revelations, alleging that the protest leaders in Kiev would "just put people in a cellar and kill them".

Named only as Vladislav, he was filmed being grilled by investigators after being caught in the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine.

A Russia 24 anchor added a warning that "mercenaries are now going to Crimea. Their aims are clear enough: to provoke a new wave of the crisis and rob people on the sly"......snip~
