Russia To Sanction U.S. Senators.....

Believing in limited government is not believing in no government at all. Spread that lie elsewhere. Individuals should be free to do what they want as long as it doesn't intrude on another individuals rights.

Oh come on now. You don't believe in the military, police, or any other taxpayer supported institution of government. There's not a hair's worth of difference between you guys and the Anarchists, except they may be more honest.

Okay, so go and look where I have jumped on Conservatives.....then the Neo Cons. Can't say McCain was one. Might wanted to be one.....but you know how that goes. Hell even told them they should have their own party.

Although I do notice one difference.....they don't complain as much when I take off the gloves. Imagine that!

I'd be happy to review any thread where you've 'jumped on' conservatives with anything like the vitriol you reserve for Obama.

Oh....you would have to look at Republicans who were born to be the Putz......as they get the same then as Obama. Maybe if you actually knew anything about him.....other than what you read. Then you might actually have some ground to stand on.

You didn't want to say you knew anything about him before he became a US President now did you? So you might want to remember this when you start talking about anything concerning Obama whatsoever.

That would be ANYTHING! Since you have no Clue and weren't around him or those that were.

I get it. You don't like Obama, and you have inside information that I don't possess. I guess I'll just fade away now, into the sunset, and let you continue with your Obama-bashing without comment.

Or maybe not.

No I get it.....you don't know much about Obama other than what the camera shows you.

Also concerning the fade, whether you do or don't.....its no swet off my back. Nor does it matter with any game you bring.

Hitler wore pants. Obama wears pants!

Reductio ad absurdum (Latin: "reduction to absurdity"; pl.: reductiones ad absurdum), also known as argumentum ad absurdum (Latin: argument to absurdity), is a common form of argument which seeks to demonstrate that a statement is true by showing that a false, untenable, or absurd result follows from its denial,[1] or in turn to demonstrate that a statement is false by showing that a false, untenable, or absurd result follows from its acceptance. First appearing in classical Greek philosophy (the Latin term derives from the Greek "εις άτοπον απαγωγή" or eis atopon apagoge, "reduction to the impossible", for example in Aristotle's Prior Analytics),[1] this technique has been used throughout history in both formal mathematical and philosophical reasoning, as well as informal debate.

Silly boy.

You people are ignoring the fact that the citizens of Crimea wants Russia there. Doesn't the will of the people mean anything anymore?

No, countries can not be divided upon on racial separation facilitated by military invasion and a military held vote with the ballots to be counted provided by that invading foreign country.

In your reasoning, my family could vote that we and our land are a separate country as democracy. Alaska could obviously then vote to be a separate country and then develop all their natural resources.

It is amazing how many people now suddenly have decided the South had the right to create their own slave nation or a white neighborhood vote to detach themselves from a poor minority inner city.

It doesn't work that way.

That's completely untrue.

That's exactly what states rights mean. The state is part of the union only so long as it serves the states purpose to do so.

After reading through most of these posts, I had to look and see if this was the conspiracy theory forum....AND Im still not sure.

Yeah, it's kind of like a security blanket for them. Any time anybody mentions Hitler or Nazis, they trot out 'Godwin's Law' bull****, as though that's supposed to render anything said invalid. It's laughable.

Hitler said the same thing.

This is like Putin saying; that if you sanction my countries billionaires, I spit on your Congress. It's literally almost childish, by both parties concerned.

The personal crap isn't professional, nor necessary. And it could lead to unintended consequences if they keep it up. It seems our immature Congress can't comment on other world leaders anymore, without it descending into "nah, nah you're a meanie tyrant and dictator who oppresses everyone". Like they're a bunch of saints.

Indeed. Effective leaders don't talk. They act.

Putin is acting like we elected The Little Rascals to the administration.

What sucks is, he's right.

Obama is acting, by not trying to start WWIII over Crimea using taxpayer dollars like the neocon nuts in the US want him to, i. e.

"“Send the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs tonight to Kiev, not Geneva, to Kiev, to discuss with the authorities urgent delivery of weapons, defensive weapons,” Krauthammer said."

My point is that the US is doing a lot of talking. Pointless. In terms of Obama I think his approach is the worst possible one. The best approach would be to have done nothing like China did nothing. The whole thing is none of our business. If he had to meddle in it, then he should have meddled with strength, not weakness. There is no future in showing a weak hand to the world. I'm not suggesting these are easy decisions but think about "Hey, I'll teach you to take territory from another country. I'm going to ban 11 of your guys from docking their yachts in Miami." Think about it. Is that the hand to show to a bully and the rest of the world?

Danzig. Poland. It goes on. Its disturbing to see the this type of thing repeat-we know how it ended last time.

Careful now! You're close to Godwin's Law territory!;)

UPDATE: Russia has added more in response to Obama's added Sanctions from 10 mins ago.

Russia retaliated quickly by imposing entry bans on American lawmakers and senior White House officials. Among them were Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. Obama's senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer and his deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, were also targets of the Russian entry bans.

Boehner's office said the speaker was "proud to be included on a list of those willing to stand against Putin's aggression.".....snip~

Then today they hit us with their most serious threat to date.

Russia warns West it may change stance on Iran, in retaliation over sanctions

Russia reportedly is prepared to change its stand on Iran nuclear talks in a high-stakes gamble to counter expanded sanctions by the United States and the European Union over Crimea.

After the Obama administration on Monday hit 11 Russian and Ukrainian officials with sanctions -- a move criticized by Republican lawmakers as too timid -- Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was quoted Wednesday by the Interfax news agency as saying the country may have to alter its position on the negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.

The statement is the most serious threat of retaliation by Moscow since the disputed Crimea region voted to join Russia over the weekend, and Vladimir Putin's government moved to annex the peninsula.

NATO and U.S. leaders say they're prepared to do more.

Speaking at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., he also said NATO, as a first step, is suspending joint planning for operations removing chemical weapons from Syria.

Ukraine's security chief also announced Wednesday that his country will hold joint military exercises with the United States and Britain

The United Nations is also deploying a 34-member human rights monitoring mission to Ukraine, scheduled to be in place by Friday. Ivan Simonovic, assistant secretary-general for human rights, expressed particular concern over the security of Tatars and other ethnic minorities in Crimea.

A letter sent by Sen. Dick Durbin, an Illinois Democrat, Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, and six other lawmakers says monitors are needed to defuse tensions in Ukraine after Russia's takeover of the Crimean peninsula. The lawmakers visited Ukraine last week and say Russia is using "provocateurs and intelligence agents to brazenly stir trouble" in eastern Ukraine as a possible "manipulated pretext for additional military action.".....snip~

Obama is just being a pol, just like Ahmadinejad was being a pol when he promised to "wipe Israel off the map." Pols have to say stuff like that to pacify the warmongering right wing groups in their countries.

To conservatives in the US, war talk is like a blanky or baby bottle--keeps 'em quiet :)

I'm one of the right wing folks and I want Obama to STFU. Let Russia have Crimea.
