"Dad" Bites the Nose off of his Infant Son!

I suspect drugs are involved.

Is it newsworthy? I think it is, but these attacks are becoming more common. People are becoming increasingly desensitized.

Indicates why some people should not have children.

Disgusting and disturbing.

All sorts of things pop into my mind when this type of situation happens (shaken baby syndrome, etc). Where was the mother, why didn't she care, why did she trust him? Etc. Because in my experience: people don't go from 'caring-loving to child-abuser' in an instant . . . there are usually signs that they're a ticking time-bomb.

If he did that, life in prison without any possibility of parole. Ever.

Death. The man's clearly a psychopath.

They should put him down just like they would a mad dog.

Maybe you should let the psychiatrists figure that one out, doctor.

No. There really isn't much question, or much doubt. A rational, thinking, human being doesn't do this. Period.

He bit the nose off of his own infant son.

What else need be said?

At no point did I suggest he was rational. But are you two really so unimaginative that you can't think of a different scenario?

Maybe he was all ****ed up on PCP and raged out. Maybe he was on LSD and hallucinated that his baby's nose was a cupcake. Maybe he had some neurological disorder. Or any number of other things that can make a human brain go haywire.

I don't know anything about the guy. He must be messed up somehow, but I'm not going to declare that I know for a fact what sort of messed up he is.

You complain about "mainstream media" and then link an ABC affiliate.

Now here's a relevant post on the subject.

I hate reading these kinds of stories. I just breaks my heart. Where's mom?? What kind of animal did she leave in charge of her son? Drunk? High? Sadist?

Yes, it's quite obvious he is messed up somehow. Otherwise, how could he bite his babies freaking nose off? Come on man. Whatever the reason is, he's not hitting on all cylinders, and anyone who could do this to not only a baby, but their OWN baby, is pretty psychopathic.

It may be an "affiliate" but it wasn't on CNN or FOX or anything national. The "affiliate" was local only. That's why it's an "affiliate", Socrates. Local only.

Seems like a guy biting an infants nose off would be national news, kinda like a psycho driving her kids into the ocean...............

Or on drugs. Or suffering from a serious neurological condition. Or got whacked in the head too hard last year.

Or maybe it just comes naturally. For Pete's sakes quit making excuses for this animal.

The last couple of weeks we've had parents being arrested for abuses around this area. One was a lady who dipped her child into scalding water as "discipline" forcing the child to need medical attention for 2nd degree burns. The other was a lady who injected hand sanitizer into her baby's feeding tube because it had downs and she wanted to "end it's suffering" which I found atrocious.

Uhm, having been a severely abused child, yes, going from 0 to extreme rage is actually quite common among abusers, as is the ability to cover it up. Additionally however, you are right in that mothers or other parent should it be a woman abuser, are not only complicit but often are the catalyst for the abuse being so severe because they often sit on the sidelines and harp at the man for not being able to "control" his kids.

Substance abuse and psychedelic drugs can only release what is deeper inside a person. They do not create something out of nothingness.

They have to pick just 1 out of each 1000 of these type incidents.

What will be missing is publicizing how he is punished.

Don't even bother with the worthless psychiatric evaluations. Just pop him in the head. Then just flush the remains down the sewage drain like they do at the slaughter house.

Cable news is not "mainstream".
