Is it already on the board? I missed it. Found it. Mods can shut this thread down.

Spoiled little turd! Clearly she's a smart kid considering the scholarship offers she's had. Besides, she's 18. No emancipation is necessary and rather irrelevant if her parents booted her or she left on her own.

I'd like to know what kind of utterly douchebaggish law firm would take this ridiculous case. Should be shamed out of business.

I'm opposed to the idea of being OBLIGATED to put your kids through college. That's what gets to me more about this whole issue: if the judge ultimately decides the parents are on the line then that means all parents will suddenly be on the line.

A dispute between parent and child escalating to this level means something has gone seriously wrong in that family. It would be premature for me to assign blame to either parents or child, not knowing the history.

That said, it seems unlikely to me that this lawsuit will succeed.

Rachel is lucky she doesn't have to borrow $60,000 a year to go to Duke, which Duke thinks is a bargain, according to the Duke Co-Ed Porn Star, who refuses to borrow the money. We keep hearing about how parents should control their kids. The real culprits are the 2nd family housing the girl

I'm rather shocked ... we're eight posts in (well, nine now, counting mine) and nobody's decided to blame this all on "the left" yet.

..but, but but... isn't she entitled to have her education paid for by someone else?
