Ukraine Crisis: Russia Deploys Ships and Troops in Crimea

Every problem needs the military thrown at it.

Domestically theory would support your thesis in a way. Almost every transaction in a society would be made differently, if there were no police. Every society requires the implicit use of force to uphold the order.

Except I'm not talking about domestic problems.

I'll bet Rootin" Tootin' Putin will have his way here as he is prepared to use military while Obama slashes our military to the size it was prior to World War II reducing our ability to do anything for anyone peoples anywhere. The Democrats have replaced the once mighty eagle with a pigeon.

How many times did Reagan go to war with the USSR? I don't want a war with Russia because we'll all end up dead. You realize that, right? Do you want to die for the Crimea?

I'm dying to.

I don't, but maybe a show of hands would be in order. Surely there's someone here willing to die for the Crimea. Let me sweeten the pot. You don't actually have to go to the Crimea to die for it. You can die right here where it's convenient, and we'll claim you died for the Crimea anyway. Now, hands please.

Ukraine Crisis: Russia Deploys Ships and Troops in Crimea

Russia is believed to be deploying military ships carrying troops in the disputed autonomous Crimea region of Ukraine, as Moscow continues to refuse to recognise the interim administration which has taken control of Kiev.

Reports suggest the movement of Russia's large landing ship Nikolai Filchenkov, with at least 200 soldiers onboard, at the Russian Black Sea Fleet's base at Sevastopol.

The ship is said to be accompanied by at least four other vessels with an unknown number of Special Forces Troops onboard, sailing from the Russian port of Anapa to the Crimean/Ukrainian Sevastopol.

All I can say is thank god we have a rational President in charge, instead of somebody who listens to Krauthammer or other neocons and wants to enter Ukraine with guns blazing and shouting 'Murica!

It ain't over by any means.
Maybe he'll fill the sky with drones in an attempt to drive out the barbarians? 8)
