Nope it's origins is southern comfort food along with bisquits, cornbread, etc


Soul food origins came from the left over scraps that slave masters didn't want and gave to slaves. I'm willing to bet the southern slave owners loved some fried chicken

They way they made the President look is what needs to be condemned, not fried chicken and water melon. When we get upset over actuate and tasty cultural cuisine being spotlighted, the people who create offensive imagery succeeded in making us ashamed of good things in our culture.

So feel free celebrate BHM by trying some black cultural (southern) cuisine; watch an MLK speech on youtube; watch some of the good historical documentaries on TV; rent the Red Tails, 12 Years a Slave or The Butler DVD and take you family to visit a black church one Sunday this month.

Oh, and french fries are probably one of the most overrated side dishes in America. Sure, sometimes someone will show enough initiative to shower that crap in garlic and cilantro or whatever and it'll be better, but just french fries? When was the last time you ate french fries and yelled, "Boy that was a great idea!" French fries is a much better idea in the before rather than the after in much the same way that anal sex is.

When will they be celebrating German-American culture? And the ****ers better damn well not be serving sauerkraut, because I'll call the ACLU! It's not the government's job to be celebrating culture in schools, it's there job to teach them how to read and write.

I'm surrounded by Germans from Russia and Norwegians. It's freaky. Their heretic protestant ways ought to frighten every man, woman, and child...because their food is surprisingly addictive, once they show you what the Christ it is.
