More smoke, I'm tellin ya this guy is dirty. It will be interesting to see if these probes turn up anything concrete. I'd have to say already a lot of damage has been done. Its getting harder and harder to believe this is all a conspiracy of vengeful political opponents creating a false narrative to bring him down. Its hard to believe the closest members of his staff operate in a rogue fashion making big moves right under his nose with no knowledge or directive from him.

Hilarious though, should be fun to watch this man fall apart while preaching to the choir about his innocence.

You really think the mayor of Hoboken would make this up? That would be a pretty bold move, poking a rather large fish. I would assume she kept quiet because it might be hard to gain traction before but now that he is under investigation she saw an opportunity.

It's clear one side or the other engages in really dirty politics. The only solid evidence we have so far points to Christie's camp...

Hillary is pretty much the definition of Neoliberal, so Christie, despite all his faults (and there are a lot of them) is who I am going with...... I made a personal promise to myself not to vote for any politician who voted for the Iraq War. Ergo, if Hillary gets the nomination, I will not be voting for her in 2016. I also would not vote for a Republican for president if you put a gun to my head. Third party, here I come! Again.

Oh, please, there's no certainty either will be on the ballot. Let's save our overdramatic woe-is-me til we are sure those are our choices. Seems none of the shoe-ins in 2008 or 2012 ended up on the tickets, worse perhaps, but certainly not what was expected as certainty a few years before.

Please. The only consistency in American politics is the incredibly stupid remark about "choice between the lesser evil" and "polishing a turd." Americans are never wholly pleased with the selections, because no matter what a pocket of humanity will whine like a bunch of babies. If you don't like your choices, don't vote. That would probably be the best option, because then no one would give a damn what the naysayers think. The rest of us just move on.

Wouldn't surprise me. Christie wouldn't be the first NJ governor to engage in those kind of tactics -- what makes it stand out now in my mind is his efforts to look like a guy who is above that kind of thing.

As a friend of mine said of Christie recently: I don't know which is scarier, the idea that he was involved in this and thinks we're that stupid, or the idea that he built a machine that will pull stunts like this without his knowledge or involvement.

i am a liberal democrat but i am going insane over how everyone assumes that Hillary will be the candidate. we need someone new, a cuomo, a Schweitzer, or a gillibrand but just someone else.
