No, it WAS a myth created by the media to sow fear, just like backmasked rock lyrics and violent video games and butt chugging and swine flu and a horde of other nonsensical "trends" that were blared over the teevee. It BECAME a real thing thanks to people copycatting the coverage. But leave it to you to completely make something up so you could feel persecuted by the mean ol' "libbos."

When the "knockout game" started hitting the airwaves, there was no indication at all (as verified by law enforcement) that there was any sort of "game." Most of those filmed assaults were not filmed by accomplices; they were security footage. They were pretty much all determined to be random assaults; in some cases (not reported, of course), they were good old-fashioned muggings. After these random assaults became packaged and advertised by the media as some sort of "knockout game," then boom, copycats galore.

Many do not. Mother Jones and others like it are used as sources as well. I guess it's up to the individual's belief in their source. Some on the right have used RightWingNews as well so it's not a partisan problem. Let's face it, there aren't many legit sources out there anymore.

Conservatives are more upset that the guy was charged with a hate crime than the fact that an old man was attacked by this sub human.

You notice Holder and his clown-car full of hacks hasn't brought changes against any of the black on white scum bags. In many of those cases there is social media posts/statements that either state similar intent or brag about the attacks afterward.

This administration has done nothing but divide the nation along racial lines, reversing 50 years of (painfully slow) progress.

Everything I've seen shows they're not upset because the guy is guilty as sin. There's no issue to discuss on that - there is however, a curiosity of why the Fed Gov DoJ decides to jump in on this particular case, yet did not inject themselves in any previous case where the assailant was black, and was also charged with a hate crime like in NY

THe DOJ usually gets involved when the state and local authorities are not doing their job regarding race related crimes. Did Texas charge the guy?
