Iran: White House Lying About Details of Nuke Deal

No, you're going to reject any source that further embarresses Dear Leader...

Surprise: Iran deal not actually a deal yet « Hot Air

"Hot Air is the leading conservative blog for breaking news and commentary covering the Obama administration, the gun control debate, politics, media, culture, ..."

And you're going to choose any source that tells you what you want to hear. You're laughably predictable.

Well color me shocked, you actually went for a more centrist paper. I am impressed.

I'll get back to you once I'm done reading it.

Pssst...I got that link off Hotair.com...lol!!!!!!!!

So what would you have done instead? Do you disagree with my theory that a financially stable Iran is unlikely to be problematic?

I absolutely 100% do, given that many of Iran's foreign policy goals are in direct contradiction to our own.

Would we be better off not having negotiated at all and would that have modified any ambitions they had/have?

We would have been better off pursuing an actual foreign policy, for starters. What we have now is a fitful, reactionary, event-driven series of attempts to whack the alligator closest to the boat, but not hard enough to tick him off.

As for Iran, recognize that negotiations are the tool that you use to capitalize on real-world gains, not give them away.

Autocratic or not, there are other autocratic countries that already have nukes. Not a joyous thing but it has already happened.

Yeah. And aren't we happy that nations as stable as Pakistan and as sane as North Korea have access to that kind of technology?

I see no value in them assembling one nuclear weapon. All that does is put them back on the **** list again.

So? Iran is more than willing to trade us-feeling-mad-at-them in return for guaranteed regime survival and a decent shot at regional hegemony.

So, spending all that money, losing their trade possibilities doesn't seem like good investment. They may be crazy but are they stupid as well?

They are neither (really) crazy, nor stupid. They are very smart, and they honestly believe things that we think are crazy - but that does not make them crazy. If you really truly believe that setting the Middle East afire in order to start the conflagration that will bring back the Mahdi and usher in an era of perpetual peace is necessary, then you are perfectly sane as you pursue that path.

What exactly can you do with a nuke?

Anything you want, secure in the knowledge that the United States is not willing to go to war with you in order to stop you, or adopt a policy of violent regime change in order to topple you.

Take your regular bully. Likes to push people around, take stuff, generally push the envelope. Now take your regular bully and give him immunity from Arrest. What do you think he's going to do?

This has nada to do with liberalism. This is foreign policy.

 Dude. That's like saying that arguing in favor of free market economics and small government has nothing to do with conservatism - it's just domestic policy.

Pssst...I got that link off Hotair.com...lol!!!!!!!!

Yeah. It's like they think that the existence of commentary obviates the existence of the thing being commented on... but only when it's explicit conservative commentary.

Those people will do anything to cover for Dear Leader.

And what a coincidence, because once again it links back to the Farsnews website.

Can anyone find an article that doesn't link back to Farsnews?

Yeah. It's like they think that the existence of commentary obviates the existence of the thing being commented on... but only when it's explicit conservative commentary.

Or maybe it's just that said commentary takes one part of the piece being commented on and twists it until they can make a misleading but attention grabbing title, and then certain people take that commentary and plaster it without bothering to check for verification. And then other people point out that the commentary is misleading or sometimes just flat out false, and certain people end up looking like fools.

If you want to, feel free. I'll be looking for the unbiased appeal, but to each his own.

Unbiased appeal, interesting, I would say there is nothing better then hearing it from the horses mouth. However in this case, Obama lies so much you have no truth in him. So you rely on unbiased appeal that takes Obama's lies and translates them into some sort of reality. Right.

The Libbos swore up-n-down that the Iranians were completely trustworthy, so...

We did? Who was that? Link to prominent "libbos" saying this or polls saying that the rank and file believed this... please.

Has the administration responded?

As I understand it they reaffirmed their belief that the agreement that Iran can continue to enrich uranium does not mean that they have recognized Iran's right to enrich uranium, and that their strategy of giving the Iranians most of what they want will produce results in the form of the Iranians heart growing three sizes that day and ending activities at the Who-ville Reactor. (slight sarcasm at the end)

Meanwhile, Iran has announced that it plans to continue both Uranium and Plutonium enrichment and announced that they have developed the ballistic missile technology to deliver.

Apparently we are so chuffed with this "success" that we are now also talking with Hezzbollah.

:doh I swear. We are the dumbest people on the planet, sometimes.

Both sides were armed, it was all about the money at that time, in reference to your Iran vs Iraq war reference. The war the US had with Iraq was probably a mistake.

 Fars News is the semi-official vehicle by which the Iranian government communicates with its people.

It's sort of the Iranian version of the BBC, except a bit more explicitly controlled.

Hm. That would be interesting. Can you demonstrate that having happened?

Semi-official being key word here.

That's the least logically linked together argument I have ever heard in my entire life.

Not sure it is dumb. Some might think by these actions that the administration is actively working to have a Jewish homeland a thing of the past.
