The Truth about Navigators

So just humor me and assume that I have magical powers. I use sorceries a way to return you to age 21. This conversation is your only memory.

Which life will you choose?

I have too much pride and self respect for myself, I probably would be where I am today telling myself how stupid I was and I could have sat on my front porch with a 40 ouncer in my hand every day waiting for the first of the month for more free stuff.

Piece work.

If I remember correctly, ACORN would pay their workers for every new person they registered to vote. The entire cast of Disney's Toontown along with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and all of the dwarfs found themselves registered as Democrats in sixty voting precincts across America.

I wonder how many Obamacare plans Daffy Duck is signed up for ?

And a lot of dead people too! That might work to get the initial numbers of enrollment up and make some easy cash for the navigator.

Today at National Review Online, John Fund, a contributor, has the undercover footage collected by James O'Keefe exposing corruption at multiple levels in the process of signing up for Obamacare.

The article touches on the real concerns over security of the applicants. The undercover video is shocking showing navigators encouraging applicants to lie on their applications to keep their premiums down. It also exposes those "supportive organizations" that are suppose to be non-partisan are actually appendages of the Democrat party.

I knew Michael Astrue in college. he was president of the Yale Political Union I believe my freshman year. As I recall, he was conservative but not hard core. He had a reputation as being very honest, very patient and easy to get along with. Not a partisan hack.

I rest my case:)

Only a fool chooses to live at the bottom. Many of us are driven to greater achievement and satisfaction. When I see a bum, to me, it's just one less competitor.

Good question. The answer is no. Number one, they are not licensed insurance agents. Number two, they don't carry errors and omissions insurance. Number three, the navigators or organizations that receive the grants, are not performing background checks on the individuals that are going to have access to personal, identifiable information. Number four, these folks are allowed to go door to door like a Fuller Brush man or Avon Lady or the Girl Scouts selling cookies, trying to sign people up for insurance. Ain't it special?

Mornin Vesper.

I was going to ask is that on top of the money they received from Team Obama for the grants.

You mean Obamabots will be coming to Ring my DoorBell? That ought to prove interesting. So if they trespass.....does this mean we can start reducing their numbers legally?

Good Mornin MMC
There have been reports in a couple of different states where people were going door to door asking to assist people in signing up Some of the groups that have received navigator funds include United Way programs, the Urban League, Mental Health America, the National Hispanic Council on Aging, and various universities and Planned Parenthood groups. Some newspapers have reported you might even encounter them sitting at a table at your pharmacy or grocery store offering to assist a person in signing up. I have no knowledge of their pay scale only they receive $58.00 for each person they assist in enrolling.

Today it is being reported that due to the video, one navigator was fired and three others suspended. I think what they were caught doing amounts to a federal offense so where are the charges?

If they come to my door, they're probably hopelessly lost. If they do find it, they'd better have a free gift - like a can opener, a toaster oven, steak knives, a cap snaffler - something. I want some free stuff just for listening to their schtick. Of course, if that person is truly a navigator and they're hopelessly lost, ahhhh...

But you bring up a key point and that being "if that person is truly a navigator". And it just goes to show how this program on so many levels is ripe for fraud.

No kidding. If it wasn't so inane, inept, criminal and corrupt, it might be actually funny. "Navigator" my ass. Just how in the hell does one "navigate" a broken site? I look forward to more leaks as the dems up for election next year try to hide behind something - anything - distinct and separate from that target that the ACA has become.

That's okay.....my dog can smell Obamabaloney from the street. That's at least 70 yards from my door minimum.

Wonder if I can find an Old Bush sign to throw out on the Lawn.....do you think that might be a clue for them?

Mornin HB. :2wave: Myself.....I would only accept one of those Gold Obama Coins. Might be worth something after he has moved on to pasture. ;)

That just might work or maybe a sign supporting the NRA would do nicely too.

I'm with you on that. We need to start sending in suggestions to the administration to help them out with this thing. We've been laughing at the North Koreans for years with their multi- stage missile failures on the launch pad. I can just imagine the hoots over there now over our failure to launch a stinking web site. Looks like they won't be able to meet that November deadline now. Awww....

Evening Middleground, no ****ing kidding going on and if you want to see who has really been deceived, look in a mirror.

This damn thing is worse than a train wreck filled with corruption and deceit. Some in the Republican party want to just let it implode on its own thinking it would be a political advantage to do so. I don't want to see more people get hurt by allowing this boondoggle to continue and would like to see it shut down before more people lose their coverage or risk having their privacy hacked. Even you.
The "willful' are not deceived. They are complicit. They get told they are going to get a sandwich and say goody! Then when given the sandwich they find out is a **** sandwich and say..."oh...ummm...yummy! **** sandwiches are my FAVORITE! You are just jealous because you dont have a **** sandwich. Im going to have ANOTHER **** sandwich I like it so much!"

This whole thing is a top down debacle. The only people that refuse to see that are the willful "true believers". Many democrats see it. Many left leaning journalists see it. But not the willful. There are already recorded instances of the sole individual that enrolled for this garbage in one state having his info hacked and being scammed within hours of signing up. Wrong/false information is being connected to peoples records. Its obvious there are groups using this for partisan political gain. In many cases felons have been hired as navigators with access to every bit of personal information an individual possesses. No background checks at all done in some states. Obvious fraud being perpetrated in others. But the willful...they see nothing. They hear nothing.Well...they have a good role model at least.

I just don't understand how anyone can support this. Forget the website, the policy cancellations, the broken promises from Obama.....

Does anything think this is going to be anything but a massive cluster**** forever?

Well we can't do that.....as there is only one suggestion that needs to be sent. :2razz:

See those liberals and Progressives don't like Bilbo telling their Man what to do!

Like this was somehow unexpected.....

Progressives define dishonesty.....

This type of crap is why ACORN is no longer ACORN and why Planned Parenthood got tased....

The best part about all of this is that democrats and progressives really don't give a ****.....

Obama could eat a human baby for Thanksgiving and progressives wouldn't care...

John Cornyn: End the Obamacare Navigator Program Immediately.....

The Urban League said in a statement on Tuesday it “does not condone, nor would we ever sanction, misleading the public or any individual who seeks our assistance about any issue, and particularly in this case, an issue as critical as health care.”

The Urban League said the person fired was a “part-time receptionist trainee” who was not authorized to speak on behalf of The Urban League or act as a Navigator and said it supports decertifying three “Navigators-in-training” in the video.

The Urban League also called for the unedited video of the incidents to be released.

Now, Texas Senator John Cornyn is calling for an end to the navigator program immediately.....snip~

I saw Rand Paul being interviewed last night and he stated that every Senator knew that the mandates in the healthcare bill were going to cause millions of people to lose their insurance policies. There was a debate over this in the Senate to change that part of the bill so it would not happen and the issue was brought to the floor for a vote. Every Democrat voted to keep things just the way they are with full knowledge this was going to happen. In other words the bill was designed to do just that. It's unfortunate there are a lot of voters who make political judgments on issues on 15 second sound-bites.

That's correct Vesper.....also in 2010, and due to that fact each and every single Democrat voted against the Republican bill wherein all would have been allowed to keep their insurance.

Now Clinton is telling Obama to stand on his Promise.....and he did so publicly.

I've not seen anyone describe it as a massive cluster**** but that is an excellent description.

There's got to be a record of that vote. I'm going to do some digging and see if I can find it. People need to know the truth.

I wasnt picking on you, I know it is hard to keep track of who started what. Just trying to be funny.

It's very difficult to avoid duplication because so many pack the Breaking News forums probably because they figure no one will see it in a dedicated forum. Someone posts in the healthcare forum and another posts in MSM.

I think it was before Obamacare was passed.

How many times does O'Keefe need to lie to people before they stop watching his doctored crap?
