The Egyptian newspaper El Watan has reported a group of Egyptian lawyers has submitted a complaint to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, charging Obama with backing the group that incited widespread violence in Egypt both before and after what is known in Egypt as the “June 30 Revolution.” The Egyptian army coup d’état removed Morsi from the presidency July 3.

The complaint charges that Obama coordinated, incited and assisted the armed elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in the commission of crimes against humanity in the period from March 7 through Aug. 18 in Egypt.


Several prominent media sources in Egypt are now reporting that Egyptian lawyers have filed criminal terrorism charges in the International Criminal Court against President Obama in addition to the criminal terrorism charges previously filed in Egyptian courts against the president’s half-brother Malik Obama.

Malik Obama is quickly becoming a person of interest in Egypt for his alleged management of funds for a terrorist organization based in neighboring Sudan. A group of Egyptian lawyers, meanwhile have charged President Obama with crimes against humanity for his support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

The charges come as the criminal trial against former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi is scheduled to begin in Egypt in January 2014. Morsi facing charges that he supported the Muslim Brotherhood in acts of violence directed against the Egyptian people.

President Obama is likely to be a subject in Morsi’s criminal trial because of evidence the Obama administration used the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to provide direct financial support to key Muslim Brotherhood political operatives, with the full knowledge and complicity of the Morsi government,

I laughed when Bush was "charged" with "war crimes". I laugh now when Obama is "charged".

What it demonstrates is that the judiciary in certain foreign countries has far more dignity and honor for the law than does the US judiciary, long known to be mostly corrupt.

Bush & Co were war criminals, Obama & Co are war criminals.

It really is irrelevant, since the United States didn't ratify and does not participate in the International Criminal Court and not subject to their authority.

T'is true, but how would the Leftists be running around with their hair afire had Bush43 been on the receiving end.

And CC's example doesn't quite compare to the ICC. Bush was fighting terrorism; Obama and his brother Malik for supporting it.

I don't make much of it other than the difference in how it would be handled in the press. For that I'll bring up a moment not long after Bush4 was elected. I was in South Germany, and listening to the radio. I then heard Judicial Watch filed suit against Cheney; this was 2001. I thought it odd, as in all the time I'd spent in the country, I'd never heard them bring up any of the rash of similar motions they set against Felonious Bill Clinton.
 
Can we send Kerry to Egypt to see if they are serious with these charges?

The left wanted Bush and Cheney charged and they wanted Canada, a signatory to the ICC to arrest either man should they ever cross the border and enter Canada. They have both done so and neither was arrested on behalf of the court, nor would they ever be. I don't believe Canada, today, gives a damn about the ICC and pretty much ignores it - we signed on under a liberal government about 15 years ago - times change.

The left may be concerned that such charges, if accepted by the ICC, may limit Obama's travel once he leaves office - we'll see.

Aren't Nobel Peace Prize winners exempt from prosecution for anything related to violence?

Don't Democrat partisans hold up Egypt as one of Obama's greatest foreign policy successes - along side of Libya?

NOTE - For accuracy, and correction of misleading yellow journalism headline...... Some Egyptian lawyers have filed a COMPLAINT with the International Court. The International Court has not yet charged Obama with any crime. So, at this time, there are NO charges pending against Obama at the International Court. Just a complaint, from some Egyptian lawyers, that will most likely be summarily dismissed.

He was a criminal by my personal standards as soon as I was sure he was ramping up war instead of always drawing back until all wars were ended. But good luck with that. When the Justisar has gone insane, the jailor lost his keys, and there are "witches and zombies" all around then ill worry.

His criminality became apparent to me when as a Senator he voted to bestow immunity on the telecoms that had done Bush's dirty work for him by intercepting private communications related to FISA violations. He voted for FISA II, which granted that immunity to the criminals at AT&Treason and others.

I don't laugh. They both are war criminals. The attack on the Iraqi people was illegal and the assassinations of foreign citizens are illegal. Nothing will come of it, but that's why so much of the world hates and distrusts us. We used to be the shining beacon of liberty, now we're the dirty red light district of international crime and corruption.
