I have posted in MANY threads about ACA being bad as well as Obama being a bad president, but because I make a comment that shows the right can be hypocritical, that makes me a liberal to you :lamo

Yes, it was a play on words because he is saying a half-truth. I was able to keep MY insurance policy and millions others have too. The half-truth was that he couldn't control what insurance companies did because of the regulations of ACA.

So you can spout off he lied all you want, it doesn't make it true. And no, that doesn't make Obama off the hook, he's quite responsible for this debacle and he's responsible for the people he put in charge of this. I just laugh at the mouth foaming from some on the right that have the inability to actually think.

I simply pointed out that this happens with supporters of presidents no matter if they are GOP or Dem. If you read other posts you would see that I even slammed Obama by saying it was his fault on not admitting his mistake. Get a grip man.

Obama flat out lied to the US public about their health care that we are going to spend billions on so "everyone" can have their tax payer funded entitlement.

Yes, the libs like to point to Bush 41 doing this all the time. Yet, they never tell the story that the tax increases were a demand of the left, and he was comprimising with them. So, he gives them their tax increase and then for decades they complain that he gave them their tax increase. These are the nut bags that are the democrat party. Um, because clearly he lied. "you can keep your doctors and policy, period". Over and over. Now we are finding that isnt true in many cases.
Now if he had said "we are doing everything possible to craft this law so you can keep your coverage" that would be different.

I suppose the most accurate way to say what he meant was "There is nothing in the new law that prevents you from keeping your current coverage." That much is true.

Since this was SO foreseeable, why didn't the GOP run on this in 2012? This would have been a much better pitch than Mitt "Not Obama" Romney's pronouncements from whatever planet he lives on.

My point is that if the GOP's ideas are so much better, why can't they sell them to the electorate?

They didn't even pitch it that way during the election. That was the rationalization after the election, helped along with Romney's divisive "47%" comment.

My position is that they didn't really have any smart ideas to begin with. Crapping on the other guy's idea doesn't count.

I guess it's just tough to compete with that level of lying. GOP is saying that they'll create jobs, and you have Obama saying you can keep your plan (lie), your doctor (lie), he'll cut your costs by $2500 (lie), etc...
