I'm curious how it is "PC" (my earlier definition of it stands in my mind) that is "killing this country." We have crumbling infrastructure, a totally whacked out tax system, an out of control military-industrial complex, a gaggle of dickheads in Washington who couldn't tell the truth between any of them if it was tattooed backwards on their own foreheads, 12 years of presidents that everyone hates, we're hemorrhaging industry, and we have a surveillance state that is simply ridiculous. I don't see how one can rationally argue that "PC" is the real problem that's "killing this country."

I'd put "PC" about 157th on the list of problems that are "killing this country," right after JUGGALOS.

Because the most important Infrastructure ,Constitutional Republic is 'crumbling' from PC.
What good is a smooth road, a brand new bridge if society has tanked.

gotta stand with the employer on this
they wrongfully assumed the employees knew not to cross the line of good taste
hence the new need for some standards of conduct, even for a costume party
appears we need to tell folks that showing up in black face might be funny to some, but that it appears mocking to others

only the individual or business having no concern how they are perceived would place no constraints on costumes worn to their event

"Wise." I mean anyone who thought the costume was "offensive" is kidding themselves. And those same people were likely not at all offended at Bush jokes and Bush masks.

Political comments being over the line is a joke. And the only reason the company is doing this is to cover their ass from a lawsuit. And the fact is they shouldn't have too.

Exactly. So why should they have a sensitive training day? Seems like they are pampering nazis by not allowing free speech. It isn't like they were in blackface, making fun of women, gays, whites, or any other "protected" people. There IS a line...and political satire isn't "over" if.

I didn't say they should; in fact, I'm on record IN THIS THREAD as saying I don't think they were necessarily in the right. However, they have the authority to uphold certain standards if they feel violation of those standards reflects poorly on the company, and that is NOT a violation of the First.

I cannot believe anyone can any longer believe Obama is a Messiah or God. A lot of people seemed to, when he was yelling that he and his disciples could or even, when he saw The Best still ahead (in a comedy you would say he was probably right), but who could now?

Smooth roads make it easier for you to leave the country. You can go to China or Pakistan where things being too PC are unheard of problems. Plus they don't have troublesome smooth roads and intact bridges that you seem to hate.
