What's ironic is that NO MATTER who has been president, the debt, government intrusion, and government size has gone up. And yet people on Dem/Rep side still don't think their **** stinks and continue voting for the failed policies we see now.

So if you are voting for Dem or Rep, you are part of the problem.

First time: Bush fatigue and McCain was an asshole

Second time: the elite asshole Romney was more of an asshole than McCain.

They will always play a role in US politics, because they're useful tools.

The tpers aren't a real political movement; they're merely a bunch of brain-dead xenophobic dolts who think the problems of the country are what rush limbaugh and their pandering pols say they are. The GOP elite uses them to win elections because all it has to do is manufacture a false threat and/or appeal to their childish bigotries, and then voila.

What must be done is for the Libertarians (or classical liberals) to figure out how to use them in a similar fashion to advance our agenda. That shouldn't be hard, given how incredibly gullible the tpers are :)

Mitt Romney represented the losers. They're the 47% that suck off the teat of the government. They're primarily in the south and they reside largely in red states.

Paul Ryan has no idea what it's like not to have a government job.
