House Republicans seek probe of D.C. monument closures[W:120]

Re: House Republicans seek probe of D.C. monument closures

So what exactly are the Republicans willing to negotiate? Are they going to fund Obamacare now?
All your question tells me is that you haven't been paying attention to what has been happening.

Didn't we pass ACA?
And it can be defunded.
And/or it can be changed, or it can be unapproved/removed as a law if our reps do it.
So, your point?

In all honesty, the right is playing games in regards to the ACA. If they don't like it, win elections and get it defunded. What the right is doing would be the equivalent of the left (when Bush was in charge) of demanding that we get out of Iraq or they wouldn't fund the government. The GOP needs to win elections, or quit whining.

If the GOP REALLY wanted to curb spending, they wouldn't tack on their OWN pork to projects. They and the Dems are just different sides of the same pathetic coin.

Dems have already done something like that.

Not the same thing at all. We were already IN Iraq with boots on the ground.

Politics is a game.
And the Dems are plating it too by not negotiating, by not compromising their position.
Doing what you were elected to do, is not a game.
They have to play the game to achieve that which they were elected to do.

Compelled us to break faith with loyal friends.

Again, not the same situation at all like I described.

It is when you play the shutdown game. All of congress should be fired for what they have done.

we could do what canada did when their legislature had a reached a impasse over the budget that no one could compromise on, hold a immediate election.

To give the people the direct vote on the problem budget, or to replace the legislature?

Sorry I'm slow this afternoon! I guess I need to eat some candy.

to replace the legeslature.

call it a vote of no confidence.

Can you imagine the squeal Hays would have emitted if the Democrats had ended Bush's vanities wars by refusing to fund these fiascos?

More disingenuous arguments for the fact-free zone.

Yep, and we can raise taxes on the rich and control guns more.

Wow, you're not very good at this, are you?

Excellent! I almost posted that either choice sounded good with me, but this one would certainly ensure cooperation!

Obviously you aren't when you through something in that can not be infringed.

It's negotiable. The GOP said so.

I'd actually have ALOT more respect for Democrats if they did demand we get out of Iraq in exchange for funding.

So what are they going to negotiate? I haven't seen that they're willing to give up on the Obamacare thing. Don't give me that "delay" crap.

Oy vey!

Re: House Republicans seek probe of D.C. monument closures

The assumptions here aren't based in reality. They are greatly underestimating how much the subsides will cost over the long term.

And you know this because ?

I know our health insurance has sky rocketed over the last 40 years.
DH is self employed so we are fully aware of the price of health insurance over the last 40 years.
The last couple of years the cost has finally slowed.

That is reasonable, but I haven't seen where they're willing to fund it with that tax removed. I'd like to see your source on that.

I would be more interested in how they were going to fund if the CR they are going to pass fully funded the government. It doesn't. It falls short and is going to require over a half trillion in borrowing.
