LOL Well then why would they give them the power to be? :lol: You are right about SCOTUS being a political body reflecting the times we live in. DOMA didn't become unconstitutional when five judges called it so. It was unconstitutional when Bill Clinton signed it into law. How is it not about equality when you have one group being told they can't have the same rights as everyone else because of the way they were born?

So then let the states decide. Oh wait, when prop 8 was passed people like you certainly didn't say the argument was over did you? The Left uses the court the subvert the will of the people all the time. Our Court is purely political now. SCOTUS is operating far outside the original intent on what the scope of their powers should be. Originally SCOTUS was supposed to be the weakest of the branches. Now they an oligarchy of 9 lawyers in black robes.

They were all stacked and controlled by Democrats :lol:

LOL that's right, because Dems were what modern Republicans are today. :lol: The framers also didn't like mob rule. That's why prop 8 is unconstitutional. You don't get to decide that other people shouldn't have rights merely because of your opinion of them. Why did you shy away from my question? ;)

Disapproval is one thing. Disappointment is one thing. But you embrace the act of abandonment...intolerance...of ones own child BECAUSE that child disowned her own. Thats just...pathetic. But then...all that matters to you is not family and unconditional love, but rather 'cause'. Embarrassing. Pathetic. Just...sad.

At that point they're not a child anymore. They are still your son or daughter. I'm emphasizing the difference between leaving a child on the streets, and symbolically disowning an adult who has their own place to live because he was attempting to equate the two.

What's confusing is how the so-called "gay" and "straight" crowd are attracted to individuals based on microscopic chromosomal information.

Moi, I'm usually attracted/unattracted to someone based on what I can see and touch.
