Congressmen: SWAT told to 'stand down' at Navy yard

Do you inow what stand down means?

Leave, not go in, they aren't needed? Perhaps they weren't or perhaps they got bad info to begin with. Who knows? But we have no idea why they were told to stand down, so it could have been for some good reason. We don't have the information.

If the shooter was still active and they got an order to stand down, then they definitely recieved bad information.

Not necessarily. We have no idea why they were told to do that. And we have no idea at the point they got there how "active" the shooter was.

You're trying to defend the indefensible.

Actually, I'm trying to say that there simply isn't enough information right now to jump to any conclusions, particularly some of the stupid ones people in this thread are coming to involving placing any blame on either Congress, the President, or other people not even involved in such decisions without even knowing the facts about what exactly happened.

The order to stand down was erroneously issued to this team. That's a fact that can't be disputed.

It can be disputed without more information. We don't know enough details.

Now you're just being obtuse.

No, I'm looking for more information. There are always valid reasons to tell teams to standdown. This might not have been one, but we simply do not know whether it was or wasn't because we don't have all the facts.
