Boehner: Obama should negotiate on debt, but not with me

Sounds like it's time for the Senate to consider what the People want too. But since they are led by the left, their sense of superiority will not allow them to. It seems likely the shutdown will happen and the Republicans will be blamed. And the Democrat voters will believe it because they are starstruck idiots.

"The people" are not for the defunding of Obamacare. The "starstruck idiots," as you so classily put it, aren't fooled by the Republicans apocalyptic bluster. And yes, if there is a shutdown, it will be the Republicans' fault.

when i say "we" i don't just mean you and me. I mean should we as a community, as a society, or as a nation stand by and do nothing to help our fellow people and countrymen? Is it wrong to have the belief that ones fellow humans should not be allowed to suffer?

These people cannot qualify for medicaid but their children should not be denied coverage because they cannot afford private coverage. what the United states government spends its tax dollars on should benefit the American people.

This is exactly what you do if there is ever to be any hope of people taking any responsibility for their actions...

(I'll answer what I know you meant to ask)
Cuz it's very unpopular.

When the so-called "liberal media" has allowed the GOP to lie with impunity about the ACA, I wonder why it's so "unpopular."

I may want to take your wealth. Should I expect government to support that decision?

government made the decision to support the chip program with taxpayer's dollars because it did not want children to go uninsured because the parents did not have the same foresight as you did.

The fact is, we're here and it is right now.
What are we going to do on all these differences between what the House is doing and what the Senate and President want to do?
What do we do when the House schedules only 40 days of work in the last 5 months of this year?
Individuals, possibly families, need to take responsibility for the results of their decisions. Not you, not me.

You're joking, right?

Even the MSM has limits. The best thing they do is simply sit back and stay quiet. The MSM will not try and convince anyone the turd in the punchbowl is anything but a turd.

Gawd, you're giving Liberals a bad rap with this thought process...

people don't willingly choose to be poor. Life makes choices available and unavailable to people, and sometimes the choice is made for you.

The same thing the President has done with half the bill's provisions, delay its implementation. The computer systems that are supposed to monitor enrollment are not even ready...

When I was "poor", I certainly didn't decide to have children. Life circumstances don't make your choices, you do...

The President is dishonest and can't be trusted - why would Boehner agree to negotiate with him? It's that simple.

Maybe our President just has different priorities.

I thought it was spot on..
Have you seen the latest Citizens United-type ad with the woman and lady Gynecologist between her legs??
Then Doctor leaves and a scarry looking Uncle Sam pops up between her legs.
Needless to say it gets better all the time with you folks.

The government is not a charity and should not be treated as one, so yes, that is exactly what they should do.

Is it wrong to have the belief that ones fellow humans should not be allowed to suffer?

No, though I have no idea how you are going to pull that off.

These people cannot qualify for medicaid but their children should not be denied coverage because they cannot afford private coverage. what the United states government spends its tax dollars on should benefit the American people.

And exactly why shouldn't they be denied coverage?

Do humans not have reasoning ability in your universe?

you don't understand that the government has supported this program for years, and i don't understand how you can be OK with people who cannot afford private insurance to not have their children go uninsured. How can anyone find a reason to allow people go uninsured just because they cannot afford private insurance but cannot qualify for medicaid.

So you don't agree with these ads.
The GOP/TEAcons will never speak down on this lunacy again.
There's so many egregious comments coming from GOP/TEAcon that a Dem one does stand out.
Please, do not try to associate my thoughts with anyone else...

The citizens of the country need to be weened from these programs, not made increasingly dependent...

Because usually speaking when parents can't afford something for their children they will commonly go without. If you have a problem with this then go buy them insurance. Just leave me the hell out of your moral crusade.

I haven't seen one, and I'm not swayed by ads...

It's all about dependency... creating future generations of dependent voters.
