It's not just a convenient excuse, it's also a fact.
Literacy not your strong suit? I believe I started my post with how Obama has been less than perfect, but if your idea of discourse is to refer to people as "dolts" and whatnot then you can keep that nonsense in Canada. I would be tired of trying to work with Republicans too. Or are you really trying to say that there were no Republicans saying they wouldn't work with Obama before he was sworn into office? Because if that's what your saying you need to put a tinfoil hat in your avatar so that people know before hand what kind of poster you are.
I see - so even though you claim to be libertarian, you use the old liberal standby of insulting me when I don't agree with you - typical. As for working with Republicans, name one Republican that the President has sat down and worked with on a piece of legislation. Bush II worked with the most liberal of Democrats, Ted Kennedy on No Child Left Behind and Clinton worked with the most conservative of Republicans, Newt Gingrich on Welfare Reform. Certainly Ted Kennedy was no fan of GWB and Gingrich was no fan of Clinton, but they found Presidents willing to work with them on issues of importance to them. Obama is incapable of such bipartisan negotiation. Hell, Obama thinks he's too smart and too good to even work with congressional Democrats.
And gee, you sure do have all the liberal talking points down pat - never met a self-respecting libertarian who took their information directly from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz - congrats, you're a first. And just to clear things up in your short memory, lots of Republicans worked with Obama prior to his being sworn in - it's why your country adopted the largest single stimulus package in it's history, over $800 billion, mere weeks after he was sworn in. So don't give me this crap about the right not working with Obama from the start. They did work with him originally and the smug, arrogant POS simply turned to them and said "I won the election" and "Republicans can join us, and they can sit in the back, or we'll just do it ourselves". Well, the dolt got what he deserves, almost zero assistance from the right and no interest in negotiating with him.
