UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake [W:44]

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

You do that, not eco.

What eco posted was something that the UN has officially documented. You have news reports, not based upon published UN documentation.
Ben, I have to say that if the vote was brought up tomorrow in the UN regarding whether or not the US should exist, the vote might be close. Consider that before you give them holy status.

So the organisation that's validating the American administrations view of the conflict would maybe vote that nation into non existence?

So no such thing as evidence exists. Why are we here on this forum regardless of the topic? We're just throwing BS at eachother.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

So you accept that 7:1 civilian massacres have been conducted by Assad and not the rebels? How do you rationalise that with the narrative that Assad is a necessary evil?

(CNN) -- The Syrian war has never been a simple fight between good rebels and evil government forces, and the United Nations has said so several times in the past.
But this week, U.N. investigators released a particularly detailed and horrific report that slams both sides, accusing rebels fighting to oust President Bashar al-Assad of murder, rape, torture and forced disappearances.

You always struggle to provide a source. Go ahead.

This is why the US is and has been for sometime WRONG to support the rebels. We know their not going to support president Assad, that's a given.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

How do you know Assads forces always do that? As far as I recall some of the boys originally clothed in those uniforms refused orders to kill civilians and set up the FSA.
There's all kinds of reports. How do you differentiate between those that are true, and those that aren't? As an average American, I don't have a way, but if you have some special decoder, I'd love to have one like it. As it is, I'm left to make a judgement, and my judgement is that we'd best stay out of it now. If there's a way to stop the chemical weapons, great. Go for it. But, our time for a positive outcome is long gone, I'm afraid. The rebel movement is hopelessly compromised, and Assad is firmly in the Russo/Iranian camp.

It's in the post you quoted. I ALWAYS provide sources, you just mostly don't like them.

Whether you have interest or not in the subject is irrelevant. You have basically claimed that on any topic we should disregard sources and just have at it, whether it involves personal involvement or not.

One "links" to the source in standard internet discussion.

I had to copy and paste your post into Google and discover that there's no mention of comparative scale of war crimes. Most conflicts involve war crimes, and the official UN report of massacres in this conflict show a stark contrast between Assad's use of such and the rebels. We all know who fired the first shot as well.

I have no faith in any of the evidence. Bad things have happened on all sides, and the politics has trumped all that may be real. I don't know. I do know that enough of that has happened that I'm unwilling to put our forces on the line for one side or the other. Our military is worth more than that, and our values, such as they are, are worth more than that too. I'd like to think, as would many, that we aren't stuck in the mentality of our thug being better than their thug.

President Assad's forces civilian casualties are from the rebels using them as human shields, not them targeting civilians. The rebels on the other hand target civilians.

UN documentation?

Fair enough. That has nothing to with discussing international conflicts and who is generally more right than wrong in the conflict.

No, not at all. I'm saying the sources seem to be hopelessly compromised by political considerations. There's a big difference which you are obscuring in making a blanket statement which doesn't address at all what I have said. There are hundreds, if not thousands of reports, and if you can believe all of them, have at it yourself. I can't make an assessment of the veracity of many of them, and the volume would suggest that either they are all correct, and we're dealing with a bunch of liars, or only some of them are, and we don't know which are, and which aren't. I tend to go with the latter. We don't really know. I don't trust the UN. If you do, then go for it. It's really that simple. You really ought to look at the UN voting record before you go all in with them, but that's your choice. If the evidence was crystal clear, there wouldn't be all this controversy.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

Your in conflict with one of your gurus on that. Btw, when I travel Europe and other parts of the world PTV and RT are in the line up with all the other MSM's on the hotel tv's.

I guess this is the hotel theory of unbiased news. Not very convincing.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

You're just a racist that hates Russians and Iranians.

I personally like Russans and Iranians. As to RT news, it's a stinker that most Russians are embarrassed over.

Re: UN Human Rights Council says Syria gas attack videos, photos fake

If it can be faked once, it can be faked again. There is no way for Syria to prove it doesn't have something.

I wonder if NBC was involved. ;)

I'm not in the business of discussing who's more right and who's more wrong. I'm in the business of discussing who is right, and who isn't. If you want to equivocate, as I said, have at it. Embrace the red line, and sign up today.

I'm sure you do, but then I wasn't saying that to you.

No! Apparently you are unaware of Hillary Clintons testimony to congress on the value of Al Jazeera, RT, PTV, CCTV etc.

Hillary was talking about the dissemination of propaganda, not about proper reporting. Anyone think Clinton was talking about how great those propaganda arms are? Based on an article by "Business Insider"? hahaha

Again. There is video footage of Hillary Clinton testifying before a congressional committee that RT, PVT, CCTV, Al Jazeera, etc, are BOTH instructive and kicking our ass in the information wars. You can leave BusinessInsider out of the equation. But then you just can't stand that Mrs. Clinton gave credit to those news agencies.

Instructive in the sense of how to produce propaganda, or as she would like 'how to produce state media that puts our point of view out there'.

"Business Insider" is a blog, written by pseudonyms, that twists whatever it can.

Do you have the full video of her testimony?

EDIT: Nevermind.

Fallen.
