Putin Orders Massive Strike Against Saudi Arabia If West Attacks Syria.....

One must crawl before they Walk. :mrgreen:

I to went straight into the service. After I came home.....I had the same courses when I was going thru OCS.

11 Bravo.....I **** the enemies **** up while Leading the way. Sua Sponte.....huah! ;)

:) Queen of Battle, baby. I did my first tour as a grunt, shifted out of it after that to an MOS that involved fewer mosquitos. Gawd I hated the mosquitos.

It is. It's like between 2003 and now, everyone changed uniforms.

That's politics, I guess...that's how they operate.

I mentioned somewhere else that if obama said that water was dry and fire was cold, his hyperpartisan sycophants would clap and cheer and nod in agreement.
We need a nationalistic 3rd party I think.

Good one.
marines are for real.

Some. Not to turn this into the Army v Marine threat, but there are qualitative advantages to being smaller.

None. I never pretended to have superior knowledge of every weapon system the u.s has AND the russians.
I never pretended to have superior knowledge of the tactics, strategy and intentions of the u.s. AND the russians...like some people.

I find it comical that people pontificate and strut and pose so much on this thread about things they can't possibly know.

Well the question would be "superior to whom"? The Order of Battle Analyst who has spent his entire life studying Russian CDCM's? Or the average joe on the street? I would say my expertise is mostly in having a shallow knowledge in a moderate variety of such things, with an ability to go find out more at need.

1. He says one thing and does another - he is either dishonest or feckless - empty rhetoric is his hallmark.

2. Some former allies of America have been abandoned by America under Obama.

3. The drone program that ignores the sovereignty of countries that America is not at war with.

Well, reading about things and studying does not supersede actual real world experience.

No american force has engaged a russian force since....ever...anyone who thinks they know the full capabilities of russia and russian technology (or america and american technology) is kidding themselves.

What's that saying? "No plan of battle survives first contact with the enemy"..that isn't exact but something like that..I don't feel like looking it up..you get my point.

EDIT: no disrespect intended....

I'll tell YOU what;

your friend said;

and he was going on and on about all these various things that we could do and how we were going to be able to do this and that tactically and nothing anyone else had could stop us...etc...etc..

so I asked him;

He then replied;

The only thing left for me to say was

Since you drug me in, I'll ask you the same thing I asked him;

What was your GPA while you were at west point?

How did you do on DS 310 "Military Tactics" and "DS 470 "Military Strategy"?

Did you take the HI 355 "Warfare in the Age of Industrialization" course?

What about the DS 455 " Comparative Military Systems" course? How did you do in that one?

Naturally you aced HI358 "Strategy, Policy, and Generalship" I should take that for granted, right?

Uh-huh. Wanking about a weapons system remains an extraordinary indicator of someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. There is a reason no one serious is writing about Syria and claiming that we are about to receive a punishing blow from their ASCM capability.

I see.."wanking" ....."doesn't know what they are talking about"
Does that apply to you as well?

I'm not a weapons systems expert but I know enough that people who hype a particular weapons system when discussing a geopolitical issue usually don't know what they are talking about

Definitely point 3

There's always salvation, but that particular POS will never know it I don't think.

I'm curious, is he a POS for revealing US wrong doing in Vietnam, or because he's a hypocrite for advocating wrong doing now in Syria?

When it comes to the geopolitical question? Not at all. Not being a ramjet engineer is not the same as being unable to comprehend a general sense of whether something is concerning. Moreover almost never is a particular weapons system the salient or decisive issue in any conflict like this. It is a distraction.

He would be less of a POS if he'd admitted his own wrong doing in Vietnam rather than point fingers at everybody else for some real, but mostly made up crap never witnessed by any that served with him. I know some of those people quite well. That he's advocating action in Syria just piles more on the already smoking, steaming pile that is Kerry.

c'mon Shermie you have to agree we can lob some missiles n bombs and call it a success and go home?
I do think it was really cute that the Slav boys were able to properly employ their obsolete modified
Soviet long wave radar with the SA-3 Goa to catch that nighthawk sn-82-0806 with its door open n nail it.
But his time its the Arabs and everyone knows they can't fight for shiite. I'm not afraid that all our vessels will be sunk?

are you?

Oh, he excused himself personally for any wrong doing while in Vietnam?

..or maybe we could substitute "obama" for putin in that sentence.
russia isn't a bunch of backward peasants. They know what they're doing and they have more advanced technology than we do. They also have a stronger will and are more nationalistic. Don't kid yourself.
hell, WE have to pay THEM to fly OUR astronauts into space now.

You are the one who is kidding himself.

After the USA's punitive strike on Syria the only thing that Russia will do is the same thing that the GOP is doing in the USA: Whine.

If Putin wants Russia turned into a sheet of glass all that he has to do is launch one missile at the USA.

Guess what? Not going to happen.

Wait and see.

You favor attacking a sovereign nation that hasn't done anything to the u.s.? Why is that?

Were you in favor of attacking iraq, too, when we invaded?

Did I say that? Let me check. Why, no, I didn't.

Easy fellar, You said he failed to admit any wrong doing himself. I'm just seeking clarification from you.

I agree with you that that is not likely to happen. Is that the rational however for the US to advance an action that would violate our constitution and international law?

The USA is not going to take any action that violates the U.S. Constitution or international law.

On the other hand, Take a look at what the Syrian regime has done to its own people.

Syria will keep doing **** like this if it doesn't get a wake-up call.

There has been no wrong doing on the Syrian governments part, just allegations, no proof. The Syrian government enjoys 55-70% support from their citizens while the terrorists just 10%. Anyway an attack by the US without UN authorization or congressional approval will not be legal.

I'll call your attention to post # 344 above..I'd like to know your thoughts on those questions?

I'd like to add that if you think it's our business to punish nations who have or use WMD and murder their own citizens, when do you think we should invade North Korea and give THEM a wake up call? Should we wait until we're done waking up syria or should we do it simultaneously?
Then of course we can go attack israel..they hold illegal immigrants in concentration camps prior to deporting them. Certainly a civil rights violation, no?..and the irony..jews holding people in concentration camps...that's rich!

Let me know what you think.
