A senior Iranian lawmaker said Israel would be the first casualty of any U.S.-led strike on Syria, according to regional media reports.

Iranian Official: Israel to Be
Well... Obama better be ready to assist our ally. Or will he let them hang?

This is the test of our child president Joe Biden warned about. Poor Clueless Barack.

I guess he should have gone and dealt with Iran without preconditions. It would have solved everything.

Listen to our Idiot in Chief go on about Iran. "Iran... these countries are tiny...they don't pose a serious threat to us."
These days must be sobering for our Boy Wonder.

I know we like to call Israel our ally, but the United States has no treaty obligation whatsoever to defend Israel.

That being said, threats like this are made all the damn time, what's to say this threat is any more serious than any other? And why should any threat, not even against us, completely halt and alter our foreign policy? I'm not saying we should ignore other countries and their viewpoints or statements when conducting foreign policy, but to have our foreign policy decision making be so throughly altered due to yet another threat from Iran doesn't seem like a course of action the United States should embark on.

This is what he gets for never saying anything beyond randomly blurting out pithy, vacuous campaign one-liners to audiences full of morons who haven't a clue how to tell the difference between him and a real leader.

If Iran attacks Israel then the US will have to support them or unleash them. That's the choice.

They will unleash themselves.

Obama's response should be, "I have a bunker buster with your name on it. " ;)

This won't be Gulf War part 3, more like World War 3. If Iran attacks Israel then Israel will respond and then Russia will respond, and then...well, you get the picture. :stars:

If we don't go illegally attack another country, we won't have to worry about any blow back to Israel. As for what Obama said about Iran in your clip, its true, they aren't a threat to us, are you skeered?

Well, if lil' ole you knows that, I suspect the rest of the world does, too. ;)

You people misunderstand. Iran is not threatening to strike Israel directly. Iran is warning that Syria will retaliate by striking Israel (which Syria itself has already threatened).

Iran is not going to engage the US or Israel in war directly over this (but they will devote resources indirectly). The only possible outcome of that is the utter destruction of the Iranian regime, and they know it.

Iran and Russia have both contributed arms to the Syrian regime. The ONLY possible outcome is the destruction of the Iranian regime? Think on a larger scale. How about the war of Gog and Magog?

Russia will not go to war with the United States over Syria or Iran.

Iran is a threat. They are nutjobs who many claim are close to having nukes and support terrorists.

I agree, though in reality it'll probably be something more this:

"Doobie?"

My thoughts as well.

The US already has nukes, and supports terrorists, what's your point?

So let me get this right. If King O attacks Syria and Iran attacks Israel and then Russia gets involved this will potentially become WWIII. This is not good and we should not get involved.

It is all saber rattling and it is downright stupid. Let the Syrians kill each other. It has no effect whatsoever on the U.S. One doesn't end killing by adding to the killing.

I doubt Syria will do anything significant against Israel. Were Syria to do so, Israel has the capability to knock the Assad government out of power.

The debt "ceiling" must be raised (again) and the one year anniversary of Benghazi is upon us, so it is time to get the focus shifted to "truely grave matters" in the world, the U.S. is at war and America must come together to fight this newest boogie man. We must put all partisan politics aside (give Obama much more borrowed money) to do battle with that most serious current threat to America (world peace?) - Syria. USA, USA, USA...

True. But the killing would have ended long ago had the US not been supporting the terrorists in Syria, allowing Assad to crush them early on.

That is dependent on how involved Russia is willing to get involved. China/Iran, too. We see the potential for what Russia has already predicted, widespread chaos that Iraq and A-Stan would pale by comparison. Since Syria is no threat to us, do we want to risk that, just because we "think" regime change would be a good idea?

What can I say. Most of the world thinks the U.S. is incompetent in foreign affairs. I do too but that's because we have decided to be the world's police force. That is a very hard thing to do. We should turn the job over to the rest of the world and them have a spin at it.
