Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threa[W:423]

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

It is subjective. In fact, disdain for certain behavior is one thing commonly mislabeled as racism. We don't even have sufficient knowledge of what actually happened to conclude they weren't asked to quiet down. We aren't even conclusively saying they were unruly. The only conclusion Dr. Chuckles, Ikari and I have made is that it's very naive to assume you got the whole story already and make claim racism was involved.

We'll never hear the other side of the story, but you can bet your booty that there is another side to the story.

The hand-wringers know everything they need to know.

Jesus, Mary and Freakn Joseph..... A person can't even say that it is possible in this situation without a bunch of ***** jumping on THEM, This behavior only fuels the stereotypes about conservatives. I did not say that. I said, it is possible but until we have more information we really don't know.

Your overreaction claiming I "jumped on you" is about as BS as most racism accusations.

You have yet to answer any of the posts that have statements from the waitress or the other customer that was there.

What do you think of their accounts of what happened that night?

There are no statements from any waitresses or any other customers

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

I am telling you, a business owner with rowdy customers who are threatening each other and are legitimately a danger to be together calls the police. What happened here was someone said they were loud and obnoxious and they felt uncomfortable. I have no doubt the group was loud. If a group is too loud and rowdy to go to a place you do not say a customer felt threatened you tell them that they are too rowdy to be seated. you are really stretching this to try and excuse it and say it is not racism and it clearly is. If a group of 25 people were so rowdy the waitress could no sit them and they were told to leave that sort of group would have hung in until the police came. What this group did was leave peacefully. That is downright wrong.

You're really stretching it to call racism.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

What in the article indicates it was about race? The mere fact that it concerns a group of African Americans?

If a black patron told the manager that they felt "threatened" by a white family group do you honestly believe that the restaurant reaction would have been the same? Let's get serious.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

keep swinging. maybe someday you will wave away the stench of racism.

How many times have you personally witnessed a black person ejected from an establishment for no apparent reason?

I won't say I haven't been runned off from a resturant, but it wasn't because I'm black. It was because I was showing my ass.

If you were that manager, would you?

I would simply tell the patron I speak their language and he had nothing to fear...

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

No, it isn't, Aunt Spiker. tererun is calling a spade a spade. As a white person, I have the undeserved privilege of this news story simply being that--a news story. To deny the mere existence of this white privilege, let alone to do anything about it, enables the problem.

Where are all those Libbo race baiter haters at times like this?

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

i personally would not wait for so long, but I know that there are people who do that. In addition, most restaurants are not equipped to handle a walk-in party of 25. They may have waited thinking that no one else would be able to accommodate their group.

If the restaurant had a valid reason for denying them service, then why would they offer the people a free meal?

They're offering the free chow because they know that the race hustlers ate going to be all over this.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

She said the same thing about me but hasn't pointed any out.

She never does.
She's like a drive by shooting..cruise up, fire a few shots and run away as fast as you can.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

Alright, let's put that to the test. Did racism occur in this experiment?

I'm not watching a 12 min video that has absolutely no way of putting to the test whether or not I have seen anyone deny that racism exists.

The family wasn't kicked out based on that statement though, they were apparently thrown out because someone in the group started video recording whatever conversation was going on between them and the manager.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

Yeah, if the story true (and I believe it is), I just can't get over how horrible a business decision this was. 25 people is a whole lot of cash.

How long are those 2 and 3 seats at a time gping be empty while waiting for them to add up to 25? A dozen parties of 2 have to wait while these inconsiderate assholes get the special treatment they think their race entitles them to?

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

True, nobody really knows. Which is why I don't understand everyone who is jumping to defend the owners when they don't really know what happened, they just know that there's an accusation of racism and jump to "It must be false."

But, you haven't even notice the folks that claim, without a shadow of a doubt that this is blatent racism.

That's pretty much the response I expected. Why are you afraid of that video?

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

Making up definintions again, I see.

Would you say it's possible, or are you just going to dismiss it without knowing the facts?

The Libbos tell us that racism can only be carried out by the government. Oh, wait...that's when people call a black person an Uncle Tom.

If I tried to debate with you by telling you to go read a book that explains it to you what would your reaction be? Make your case and explain if you want and I'd be more then happy to respond but I'd rather not sift through your information for you.

you're basically asserting there was no basis for a grievance besides a racial one. The problem is there could be a endless number of reasons why someone didn't want another person seated by them. The mere fact that the two groups involved represented different ethnic groups does not nullify that

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

"The group was being loud and obnoxious to both customers and staffers. They kept complaining about their long wait and were talking about how “whitey” was able to get seated, but they were not."

This sort of thing would definitely intimidate other diners.

No reservations and 25 people to seat. That sounds like a set up. I think the restaurant was being pretty patient to let them hang around complaining for two hours.

I agree. I would have shown them the door long before two hours of listening to their complaining.

I would have told them, "I'm sorry, but we on't accomidate party's larger than 8", thirty seconds after they walked in the door.

I have been reading through other articles about this incident and have not seen anything that includes that statement from a witness. Can you tell me where you got that.

I'd rather see someone think it's racism and have it turn out not to be than to ignore every claim lest we inure ourselves to it.

Re: Wild Wing Cafe Kicks Out 25 African Americans After White Customer Felt 'Threaten

I don't know, making comments about black people being unable to resist chicken wings seems rather blatantly racist.

Someone was making a comment about black people at a cookout eating chicken wings and their friend was acting nervous and kind of yelling at them for the comment. I didn't know it was suppose to be racist until it was later explained and I still don't get it. What's bad about chicken wings, I thought it more of a stereotypical football fan thing...chicken wings and beer?

Still confused at that one
